This one was a heart stopper, with the frenetic, bombastic Chile winning by 1 - 0 despite many, many shots on goal. Interestingly, all 5 South American teams are topping their groups at this time.

This match was physically destroying for both teams, who gave their ALL.

Valon Behrami was sent off. (He had slapped two Chilean players in the face but he was sent off for the second one of these.)

Some niceeeeeeeeeeeeee pics of the Chilenos! They are the 'little' ones between the teams! It was hard against the physical bigger Swiss guys!

The Chilenos are very intriguing. I have no idea if they will beat Spain or not. That will be a fascinating game to watch. :)

I don't know... maybe I will not watch it.

Because Spain will win? I don't know...it may be that god is on the side of the Chilenos. I just heard on Sky Sports news that David Villa had apparently slapped one of the Hondurans in the face that was missed by the ref (I didn't see it on TV either) and he may be suspended for the match on Friday. If the Spaniards lose him, and Nando is not back to full fitness, then Spain will be without their two best strikers. Although they still have Llorente...

I can't believe David Villa! He is becoming very arrogant since he joined with Barca. Now he is one of them it seems. He certainly has changed his attitude! :(

I never liked the Spaniards.... for sure the league has some good football but the NT isn't my thing.

I was a bit a fan because of some players but it turns into dislike again...

What can we do? Nothing! FIFA wants it this way and get it this way! As long as there is NO video evidence....

*sigh*
The WC seems to bring out the best in some and the worst in others. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the days when I was young and naive and would just like to watch some games and not know anything about any bullshit.

But I guess it will never be like that again. It seems the more you get into it there is more shit you can't avoid. :(

I still enjoy the beautiful football and I can forget all while a match but later it all will be there again...
That's life! When you are young you don't have the knowledge and when you are older you have it and want to lose it again *smiles*

From the start, this match was all about the ref. He should never ever be allowed to enter a field again. This man forgot what it was all about, set both teams on edge and thusly killed the spirit. What a bummer after watching Portugal having so much fun.

Such a lot of yellow cards! Half a dozen at least for the Chileans! Someone could easily be sent off when they face the Spaniards. It's true this ref handed out the cards much too easily.

As for the sending off, well...you just can't hit people in the face. Players always get sent off for this. :(
