There was lots of excitement during the week with Champions League and UEFA Cup games getting underway. I thought I'd do a picspam of some of my favourite photos from the past week. They showcase some of my favourite teams and players. This is dedicated to Fernando Gago, my most favourite player, who is out for a month with an injury to his thigh. A teaser:

SPURS

Vedran Corluka is cup-tied, since he played in the UEFA Cup qualifiers with Manchester City (and got them into the group stages with his winning penalty kick). Then he transferred to Spurs. Here he is from Spurs' Monday night game on the 15th. *sigh*





But Spurs did fine in their UEFA Cup game, winning with the likes of David Bentley and Darren Bent, with lots of help from Gareth Bale.

Awww....yeah. Finns! I should check for more pics although if he plays for Espanyol today then there should be some of him in their kit. I'm frankly curious to see what he looks like in green & white. I've only ever seen him in red & green. :(

Incidentally, WTF happened to Liverpool and Bayern today? *shudders*

Haven't checked out the rest properly yet, but I will do that as soon as possible. Feeling a bit crappy at the moment, so I'll probably cook myself some nice dinner and watch a movie now. :)

I watched a large part of the Liverpool match today and I must say that even though we drew against the first to last in the league, we weren't really that bad. Better to fight and fail than to surrender and watch. We would have deserved the three points, yes, but I'm still proud of my team.

By the way, what is this Bayern of which you speak?

I'm watching the Espanyol-Getafe match on TV now. So far no Finns but the second half has only just started. I'm going back in a minute. I hope he plays but I'll go to Espanyol's site and try to find pics anyway.

I must say that Liverpool did not play badly at all, but clearly Stoke City is a team that has a very good defense, also attacks fairly competently, and I think the Liverpool players seemed a bit off, like they were tired. I still think they can challenge for the title this year and go a long way in the CL.

I hope you're not feeling crappy because of the team that shall not be named today. I understand if you are, though. :(

Finny just came on at the 79-minute mark!!! He looks good!

There are pics of him at the Espanyol site but they have them in a gallery that doesn't let you copy the pics. (I wonder how in hell I did them before??)

It's 1-1 at the moment. Both teams are so equal, it's going to be hard for Espanyol to pull off a win. But let's see what happens.

Yeah, I know, sometimes websites forbid right-click-saving, but there's always a way around that. ;) Making screencaps is very easy. On your keyboard, next to the "F12" button, there's a "Print" button. If you press it, the current picture your monitor is displaying will be copied, and all you have to do is paste it into a graphics programme and cut out the part you want. :)

I think I saw more pics of him when I was browsing around the Espanyol site yesterday. The annoying thing is that instead of having an extensive gallery like they do at River Plate, for instance, Espanyol has these little "photo galleries" with almost every single news bulletin! LMAO

Don't pressure yourself, love. He's never been the most photographed player (though he's definitely photogenic!), so if there aren't any pics of him, I wouldn't be surprised. You definitely don't have to go to extremes to find some. *hugs*

Gahhhh!
For some reason Corel is not accepting my product code for getting into their site!
I put the names on using the Paint program but they are really crappy, splitting up the names and putting them on two levels. I'll have to keep trying, but if I can't do it in time I'll just have to post the picspam without this!

He-he! Pavluchenko *I don't know, how to write his name in English correct* wears the boots like the boots at Euro, that was made by the organizators... Really! I saw a photo of a big boot, that stood near the stadium, where the match Russia - Spain was held! A friend of mine was there and made a photo for me!
