FERNANDO GAGO: POETRY IN MOTION

Fernando Gago has that ability to make you want to grab him, hold him in your arms and squish him. His moves on the pitch are incredible, and if you look carefully at each and every picture of him in action, he looks fantastic in stop motion, no matter what he is doing. His allure is fascinating. And he is only 22!!!! So feast your eyes. These pics are really good.
A teaser:
I wanted a photo of his shot on goal, and here it is. Look at the way he holds his arms, his hands. And the positions of his feet. He is always so poised. It's almost as if he dances out there.

Date: 2008-08-24 01:15 pm (UTC)LOL. I saw this article this morning. The writer says that his impression of Gago was that he was like Legolas of LOTR. Here's the link - hope it works.XD

Gago is so graceful and balletic in action (part of his girliness I guess) that I can see how people would think he was a Tolkien Elf. LMAO.
I think that Fer is going to be a very big star, yet he is so 'unstarlike' and I hope he stays that way.

Date: 2008-08-25 08:12 pm (UTC)When I watched Gago closely during games, he just looked so graceful. And he never seems to get hurt, or hurt anyone else. He rarely fouls anyone, and rarely picks up a yellow card. So the 'Poetry in Motion' idea came to me.
He is so very unstarlike. And yet he caught a lot of peoples' attention. I was reading a Sports Illustrated online article that compared him to LOTR's Legolas. LOL.

He just...
beauty.
I adore his hair, and that I can pick it out on screen without squinting, trying to read numbers on the jerseys. He's so entertaining! And the eyes, and the hands and the... can't take it. He makes me all mushy inside.
I mayyyy be going to a Real game in February, and I've already lost my mind over it. I will be squeeing like a fangirl until then (and during, and after... this soccer obsession will never go away, I think).
PS- 'yum' to your "*thud*" icon! *faints*

Date: 2008-08-25 08:16 pm (UTC)Oh, fantastic about going to a Real game! I'm going to Europe as well, probably in April. Last year I was in Spain & Portugal and I loved it to death. I have to go back.
God, I've been obsessed with soccer since the 2006 World Cup and I started to subscribe to the special soccer stations like GOLTV and Setanta Sports. Once you get hooked on the EPL and La Liga (and South American football, for that matter) you can't give it up! LOL.
