Twitter

Someone tweeted the other day: "How does anyone ever get anything fucking DONE?" Another person once told me how to use Twitter when I first opened my account. She said to use it only to get information from/about certain things that interest you. But I've noticed that a lot of people also use it for holding conversations, somewhat akin to texting each other. I find that Twitter works best for me if I check it quickly to find game scores or other news about my teams. Conversations, as long as they are brief, are okay too. But because the tweets update so quickly, it gives me a headache if I stay on it for too long. And it is so easy to get sucked into spending loooong hours on Twitter that prevent you from doing anything else at all!

Facebook

It's great for keeping up with friends and family, and for playing games. But it's horrible for the lack of privacy unless you cut out people altogether. It has a confusing layout. I really don't like Facebook that much.

Livejournal and other online journal/blog sites are great. Anything that lets you control your own privacy and gives you the freedom to post your own opinions and whatever you want, is awesome. And the ability to add large photos, artwork, videos, etc., easily and that are easy to see with a simple 'click' is a great plus, making these my favourite types of social networking sites.

And while I have accounts at ALL these places, including Tumblr, Dreamwidth and some blogging sites, I hardly ever use them. All I need is more free time, though, and someday I will have it.

Game of Thrones, Season 2, Episode 5

This was the halfway point in the season, and having read through Book Two again, here is what I thought would occur on the show.

WARNING: SPOILERS!

If you haven't read through Book Five in the series, DO NOT read this post!

Here is what I thought might happen:

1. Sansa meets Ser Dontos in the Godswood where he promises to help her escape and go home. Then she runs into The Hound on the way back.

2. Tyrion learns about wildfire.

3. Bran meets the Reeds. Meera tells him about the green dreams.

4. Arya and Gendry become closer and talk about who they really are. Arya runs into Weese. (Who seems to have been replaced by Tywin.)

5. Jaqen tells Arya that he'll give her three wishes.

6. Catelyn speaks with her family. We meet the Blackfish.

7. Robb plans to release a Lannister/Frey cousin that he was holding prisoner.

8. Renly is killed at the end of the show, after having one last love scene with Loras.

9. Jon finds the Dragonglass and a black cloak buried in the snow, on what looked like a burial mound.

What really happened in the episode:

1. There was no Sansa, Hound, or Joffrey scene this week.

2. Tyrion does learn about the wildfire.

3. No Reeds. I was so afraid that these beloved characters would be left out, despite the fact that they would seem to be so necessary. But I suppose they are to be replaced by Osha and perhaps Cold Hands later on.

4. Arya and Gendry DO talk. There is no Weese, who seems to have been replaced by Tywin Lannister.

5. True! Jaquen did give Arya her 3 wishes.

6. No Tullys! Not yet, anyway.

7. NO Robb in this episode either.

8. Renly WAS killed, but in the opening scene! NO last love scene with Loras. *sigh*

9. NO Dragonglass. Not YET.

10. Also, there were scenes with Dany and the dragons, and while nothing much happened in Qarth, we did get to see the dragons and how they are growing and starting to eat meat.

11. And there was a scene with Theon and Asha. Sorry, I will not call her 'Yara', the made-up name the producers gave her. It's totally ridiculous, because 'Yara' sounds like 'Arya' and the reason why they changed the name 'Asha' to 'Yara' was because they thought 'Asha' sounded like 'Osha' and it would confuse the viewers. Duh. Asha and Osha have absolutely NO scenes together at ALL, so what sense does that make? Yara-Arya, Asha-Osha - what the hell is the difference? :(

Okay, that was fun. I can't wait for the next episode. They have all been superb this season so far. :)

Riverrun is out because they say it is not important for the storyline.... I guess NO Blackfish!!! That's very sad. For me everything about Rob is a bit too short :(

Thanks god Renly is dead and the gay shit ended! I have never read it in the books! I like Margaery Tyrell in the books but in the series I hate her with all my heart! What a whore she is, wants a 'threesome'! *shudders* btw I hate the actress too! I think she is very ugly! She is the worst casting for me!

Brienne! I LOVE her. her scene with Cat was heartbreaking!!!!

*lol* @ changing the names. It's just too stupid!

I can't wait to watch Theon's dead!!!!!!!

I don't miss Weese ;) Tywin Lannister is amazing! Arya is the very best little girl I cab imagine! In the books she served Tywin!

I was never a Tyrion fan and will never be one but I respect him as a very interesting character.

Littlefinger is littlefinger! He does everything to get what he wants.

There is a lot to say...

Like almost always I like the books more then the series. Maybe I love my own imaginations more then the ones of the makers of the series.

Maybe you are right about there being no Riverrun on GoT! Too bad, because I was hoping we would see the Blackfish and that maybe they could combine him and Cat's brother, the one that gets married and then tortured, into one character at least. I wanted to see the scene between the Blackfish and Jaime!

Aw, no, I miss Renly already. I loved the actor. I am going to try and find some other movies or things he has appeared in, because I would like to see him again! :)

I agree with you about the actress, Natalie Dormer, who plays Margery Tyrell. They changed her for the series. In the books she was very young and chaste and in the TV series she is too old and whorish. But I think they wanted a strong woman to be a good opponent for Cersei. I hated Natalie Dormer in 'The Tudors'! But I am willing to give her a chance for now, because I have faith in the series and that they know what they are doing. And the producers should be checking with GRRM about some changes. If he says something is OK then I trust they will do the right thing. I know that on TV you cannot have so much information as in the books.

Tywin is great! But if he is too likeable, then it will make his death all the more shocking because of the way he died. :(

Tyrion is great as portrayed by Peter Dinklage! The little American is fantastic in the part! Such a surprise, because usually I find American actors to be very shallow.

Littlefinger - also such an interesting character. I loathe him in the books, but in the TV series he is less disgusting somehow.

Books are always better than the movies or series they make of them! :)

NO Riverrun......

I like Margery Tyrell in the books and I hate her in the series.... the actress is ugly like shit! Martin and the producers are working together :(
I think they are changing too many things and I don't trust them! The first series I really liked and now... the special feeling is gone..... the only what I still love is ARYA!

Hahahahahah if there is no Riverrun and no brother of Cat how will they show us the 'blood wedding' (I don't know how it is named in english)

Date: 2012-05-05 04:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com
But I want Riverrun! I want Blackfish!!!! :(((((

I hate Natalie Dormer! She IS ugly and makes stupid movements with her mouth!!! I HATE actresses who use facial tics and things instead of acting! For me it is just as bad as flipping your hair and calling it acting!!!! :((((

They ARE changing a lot but I still am liking the series. I LOVE all the men of the Nightwatch. The Wall is my favourite location and I love all in the north!

Arya is my favourite character too! I loved her journey! I love Jaqen!

But while I am enjoying the series, I am thinking they are spending too much time in only a few places. I know it will come later, but I do hope we will see Riverrun, Braavos, Dorne, Deepwood Motte and Meereen. And Oldtown! I LOVE Oldtown!

The HAVE TO show us the Red Wedding! That's what it was called in the book. Funny there is a Red God and Red Priestess and a Red Wedding! They will have to show us Cat's brother. *is hopeful*

From: [identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com
The nightwatch is GREAT! Very good characters and very interesting! JON is my fav and will always be. I love SAM too!

We will not see Riverrun! Braavos we should see because it is Arya's story. Oldtown??? NOT yet! Deepwwod Motte - I guess NO. Dorne???? Maybe later. They cut a lot of intersting things because they don't go with the main story line.
The whore Margery will got much play time....

They will have a 'Red Wedding' (german: Bluthochzeit) but you will see they will change it to the worst!

atm I also like Daenerys scenes :)

Date: 2012-05-05 06:08 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com
Yes! Jon and Sam are to love also! They are making the Sam character important and compelling, which is great! :)

All those places I mentioned are for the future but not now because there is some other stuff to come first. The battle of the Blackwater...but I hope there will be more of Dany.

We should see Jaime soon! They cannot keep the actor too long out of the series! I will enjoy his scenes with Brienne mucho! :P

I hope they don't wreck the Red Wedding! And I hope the Tully guy will be there!

Daenerys and the Dothrakis (what is left of them) are great! I enjoy those scenes as well. And the dragons! And I hope the Unsullied will be as good as they were in the books! :)

Date: 2012-05-05 06:13 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com
We will see what places they show.... I am pessimistic!

The Blackwater battle they will show, we have seen Tyrion and the wildfire already!

Brienne and Jamie will will also see.

In the books the Daenerys story is sometimes very nerving.... but in the series it is totally okay. I hope it will stay this way.
These guys are uninteresting for me, they are just a kind of killers.

So, I think for tonight's Episode 6 of GoT we should see Sansa either leaving, or making plans to leave King's Landing. There should be the scene of the royal procession being set upon by the angry mob, throwing dung at Joffrey and Cersei, etc. And Sandor Clegane will 'save' Sansa. Later she will meet Ser Dontos in the godswood. She already has, but they didn't show it. I like that storyline quite well. :)

And perhaps we will see Dany in the 'House of the Undying'. That will be interesting, too. :)

Jon should be finding the Dragonglass...and maybe meeting Ygritte. And remember he was supposed to kill her but he let her go. That could happen tonight, or if not, then next time... :)

Poor Arya should be meeting the worst people tonight...Roose Bolton, Vargo Hoat, Rorge and Biter!!! Tywin should be leaving Harrenhal.

I don't see how they can leave out the Tullys! Cat and Brienne are supposed to be at Riverrun! Because later Arya is supposed to go there only to find they are gone!

Bran should be already dreaming of the three-eyed crow and becoming a shapeshifter already!

Theon should be arriving at Winterfell and declaring himself Lord!

The series has been showing some things out of order, but there is a lot of stuff to happen yet.

Oh, it will get better and better! *rubs hands*

You are expecting far too much!

Sure you can dream about Riverrun.....

Bran.... I miss the two 'green people'!!!!

Can't wait to see THEON DEAD! I hated him from the first moment in the books and in the series! They have found a very unsympatico looking actor!

I never thin about what they will show. I'm already pissed off enough!

From: [identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com
LOL. I am trying to figure it out mathematically. First, I separated all of Book Two into halves, then the last half into sixths. Then I read each section and tried to pick out the most significant parts, but leaving out the ones they have already shown out of order. Then I jot them down into notes. Sometimes there is more than one 'scene' of much the same thing, so I know one of them won't be shown. Or maybe even both. It depends on what the producers want to cut.

Now, I would suppose that after consulting with GRRM on what they could cut because it isn't necessary in the final outcome of the story, then the audience could perhaps surmise that that particular storyline might be either a red herring or simply going nowhere. Could be sort of a clue...

You are like my sister. She hates Theon too. I think it's interesting in the series that they are making all the Iron Islanders so UGLY! Even the sister! In the book she was supposed to be more attractive!

I can't wait to see Dorne!

I am more hopeful. I don't think they can change ALL of what is in the book!

Date: 2012-05-06 04:47 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com
Holy shit! I couldn't enjoy the books that way..... I have read them all more than once (not the last one, I still have to read it)
And it is interesting to hear about how other people read a book and what is important for them!

It's always the same with series.... they cannot show everything :(

Iron Islanders ARE UGLY!!! Asha in the books is more beautiful! But she is the only one from the Iron Islands!

Dorne should be pretty but I guess there will not be a lot to see... it's only a story...

We will see what they have changed :(

(I disliked how the put together the dead of Renlky with the Storms End story)

Date: 2012-05-12 10:38 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com
Oh no, I am not reading the books that way! I've already read them, the first one twice, and now the second. But I decided to separate it into sections that way and re-read them just to see what was supposed to be in each episode. The show has put a lot of things out of order. It has speeded up what is happening with Jon but slowed down Sansa's part. And they are leaving out a lot of characters. I really hope the Tullys will come into it later. At least ONE Tully - Cat's brother Edmure. :(

I had envisioned Stannis and Mel to be quite different from what they have shown. I dislike some aspects of their characters as shown in the series. They are rather crude, but I saw them in the books as being more mysterious and more above everyone else morally speaking. So I'm a bit disappointed with them. :(

But I liked Renly a lot and I wonder if we will see him again. In the books people were always 'seeing' him - his soldiers especially. I'm not sure what that means...I know some people are still 'alive' in the books - Cat, Beric Dondarrion, and who is Cold Hands really? ;)

I need to check the GoT forums and see what ppl are saying...

Date: 2012-05-12 02:21 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com
Renly was one of the most boring characters in a book. But we all are reading books different and have other preferences :)
Some chracters are better dead than 'half-dead'! Stupid Loras.....

How will the have the Red Wedding without Edmure????

They told before that the seies will not follow the timeline in the books :( I Don't know why....
I guess ASOIAF is too complex to make a series for every reader or lover of the books. I have always my own pictures in my head and sometimes it fits with the series and sometimes it is only shit (Margaery Tully)

Cold Hands? The guy behind the wall who gets killed by Jon? I read the books in German :( and sometimes they change names :( I know him as 'Half Hand' and I loved him to pieces, but he is better dead than one of the poor guys who comes back as dead monster!

I somehow liked stannis in the books but not Melisandre. I hate that red woman!
I have downloaded it but I hate to read at my PC.....

Date: 2012-05-12 06:57 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com
My sister and I had a three-hour conversation this morning about GoT! We thought that perhaps they would leave out Riverrun and the Red Wedding entirely for the TV series and have Walder Frey and some of his sons come to Robb's camp, where they will find him with his woman. Then kill him there, instead of at The Twins, or wherever it happened! Of course, I would want Edmure, but who knows what they will cut now???

No, no, Cold Hands, the guy whose face you cannot see. I forget if he is from Book Five or was in Book Four. You have not yet read Book Five? It's in the part where Bran and Meera are running from some soldiers who are attacking them and Cold Hands is helping them. He is obviously one of the Starks brought back to life. I was hoping maybe Ned, but the mysterious guy could be also either Benjen or Brandon.

Qhorin Halfhand is the one with Jon right now in the series. I know he gets killed... :(

Yes, Stannis in the books is okay, especially as you read more. I really like him in Book Five. We find out more of Melisandre's past in Book Five too, that makes her a bit more likeable.

It's hard to read at the PC! I can send you Book Five if you like! In a paperback form! MUCH better than a download! :)))

Date: 2012-05-12 08:03 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com
Holy shit! That would be the worst!!!!

Cold Hands happened in book four, its hard for me with the names because in German the are sometimes different :(
Book five I haven't read so far (only the first chapters) but Ceren bought it in English and I will read it later. When I can buy it in German I will buy the paperback but I have still to wait.

I liked Halfhand!

I guess I will never like Melisandre! I would rather love Cersei!

Date: 2012-05-13 11:53 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com
Okay, it's so hard to predict what characters and settings the producers are going to leave out of GoT! But in an interview I saw, the producers seemed to be catering more to the people who had not read the books, than to those who have! Therefore they want to simplify everything!

OK, Cold Hands was in Book Four! It sucks that in German they change the names! I guess there is a reason...

OK, good that Ceren has the book in English so you can read it that way!

Halfhand was a good character. He taught Jon a lot...

Cersei is too evil! I would rather stay with Melisandre! I have hopes that she will be good after all. There are signs. I don't want to spoil anything, but she will be important for another of the major characters! :))))

Date: 2012-05-13 02:03 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com
I hate things are simplified!!!!!

I don't get it why they change some names in German :(

I Loved Halfhand! I like the actor too ;)

Melisandre is at the wall with Stannis in book four. The only main character there is Jon. Holy shit..... I know I wont like that!!!! But Bran is behind the wall and Melisandre is a witch..... another possibility.
TELL MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Date: 2012-05-13 02:16 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com
You want to know? You really want to KNOW???

Okay...

For sure Melisandre is up to something with Jon. Stannis is gone to Deepwood Motte in order to attack Ramsay Bolton who has taken the castle. She tries to get close to Jon and he pushes her away at first. There is another girl - Val - who was Mance Rayder's wife's sister, and Jon has a special relationship with her. But gradually Jon and Melisandre get a little bit friendlier. SHE thinks he is Azhor Asshai reborn because she saw it in her flames! (But you know she is always WRONG about how she interprets what is in her flames!)

Jon has become the Lord Commander of the Wall, but in the process has made some enemies. At a very bad time, right at the end of Book Five, Jon is attacked and stabbed four or five times. It looks like he might be dead, but we are left not knowing...

There are a couple of possibilities...he is calling for Ghost, the direwolf, before he collapses, and perhaps he will 'shapeshift' into Ghost. Or Melisandre could save him somehow, with her red magic. It is possible she could 'transform' him into her beloved Azhor Asshai. We know Jon has always been the biggest mystery.

In an interview later, GRRM was asked, "Why did you kill Jon Snow?" and GRRM replied, "Do you REALLY think he is dead?"

There is much hope! And let's hope it won't be another 20 years before the next book is published!

Date: 2012-05-13 06:33 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com
I know Jon as Lord Commander and I know he has some enemies :(
I don't want Melisandre!!!! I don't want her to rescue Jon!!!! I would rather see him dead as saved by that shit woman! When GRRM will do it I will be pissed off!
GRRM is always writing against all the fans :( he cannot give one character the chance to stay in the hearts of the fans :( I don't like it!

maybe we have to wait 40 years? Hahahahahaaaa then I will be dead and maybe I wrote my own end of the story!

Date: 2012-05-13 07:16 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com
I am scared now that GRRM might not go the right way!
One more reason why I prefer to read books and watch programs that are already finished! I hate the waiting, and worse, I hate all the discussion about what might or might not happen! :(

I don't think GRRM will be around in 40 years! LOL. He is old himself. I hope he will just get back to writing the books soon!

Date: 2012-05-13 08:02 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com
Awriter will always follow his own rules. have you ever read another book where the GOOD character dies in the first part? ASOIAF is the only one I know and it makes the books very special because it is much more interesting.

I don't read any discussions! That's far too stupid for me. I have my own thoughts and don't need the ones of some fans.

I once followed 'The legend of the seeker' and wrote there it is better to finish the series because it never followed the books and got as answer: 'how can you write these and all fans are crying?' STUPID fans!

Let's hope he got his fingers out of his arse!

Oh no, Spartacus has been on TV here for awhile. But we have this feature called 'On Demand' that you can get if you have Pay TV, that is like renting videos. You just go to the special channel and with a few clicks you can see for free any shows over again, whenever you want. You do not have to wait for the specific time the show is broadcast. For me it is better that way, and is why I preferred DVDs or Netflix to watching shows when they are originally broadcast. I am not always available when the show is on. This way I can watch it whenever I am free. And some things are not for Sean's eyes so I must watch them either very early in the morning before he gets up, or when he is not here. ;)

Sean can never see Spartacus, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Being Human or Girls!!! O_O

It pisses me off that The Borgias is NOT shown this way!!!! :(((((((

Social networks

You know my opinion! We talked a lot about Twitter or FB or LJ.

I don't understand why you have accounts on so many blogs etc. You don't have the time and only for having an account????

I told you to cut 'friends' but you always care about every person! That's stupid! Sorry, but that's my opinion!

I'm on Twitter via my sidebar and get the infos I want! Football and some others. I have NO stupid people there who are talking like mad! I rarely visit Twitter site! How can you go there and follow a stupid conversation and then you get a headache???? Sorry, that's your fault!

*lol* at FB! You know me there! It's just for fun and has NOTHING to do with me as a person! I just don't care! I told you i-net is a lie made for liars! Why should I say who I am?????
Hahahahahaha I get always questions there about my person and when I not send a pic..... all these idiots don't want to talk anymore! SEE!!!!! Hahahahaha should send them a pic of a sexy woman and tlak about sex and tell them how I would f**k them. That's all what they want!

Sorry, you are too good and too honest for the i-net! You have to learn!!!!!

I don't know why I made accounts on so many blogs. It was probably that at the time, I was interested in perhaps doing something specific, like write about ONE thing. But I never did anything with them. :(

I know what you said about cutting 'friends' and I agree that you were right. :(

LOL @ me and Twitter! I need to stay away from that place!!!

I don't want it on my sidebar because I like a clean page with no distractions on it. I like to read stuff and I can't when there are things moving near my eyes. As you know, I like to beta read and I like to read fics and I cannot do it if there are distractions. :(

FB is really bad. I started it because my kids wanted me to. They were on it and their friends, and it grew into my brother and his kids being on it, and the girls I work with. And then my son's gf's parents and brothers! And all sorts of people from LJ. Some are not on LJ anymore, even. I don't like it because I am afraid I might say something stupid that someone in my family or work will see! So I almost never use it. The last time I did was to post my photos from Berlin and maybe play some games. And I use it for private conversations with Olivia. XD

LOL @ you and the boys on FB. Boys are so stupid, I can only shake my head. Any girl that falls for a guy they 'met' on FB is...well...*headdesk*

I AM too honest and naive! I know it. The i-net is okay for me as long as I stay off of forums and places like FB. If I get involved there I am lost! :)

ON FB you can look at your privacy settings and nobody can read your stuff, you can change there everyting to work your way! I don't care about it because I use it for games and football infos. NO PRIVATE STUFF IN THE I-NET! What is once in the i-net will NEVER vanish!!!!

I LOVE my sidebar because I'm always well informed and it's never didtracting me because I have there only interesting stuff and NO private shit! I guess you don't have a sidebar ;)

I don't understand why YOU are on Twitter!

I know about the FB privacy settings, and I would use them if I needed to. But I don't post anything on there! :)

I have no sidebar!

I need to stay away from stupid Twitter! Or else cut everyone and just look for news of matches from my teams. I have a couple of my friends from GOLTV on there, though. One of them is a very sweet man that I LOVE. He is on Twitter sometimes and it's always nice to say hello. And discuss some stuff. He is finding it very hard to get another TV gig since he left GOLTV. He was thinking of going to Qatar or some other shit hole!!! I told him I would NEVER go there, but I think he is desperate! Poor guy. :(((

I decided to use Twitter for (quick)announcements and not much more, because yes, it is a distraction.

I don't have Facebook and I doubt it makes much of a difference.

It's very easy to get 'hooked' on Twitter and waste your entire day. :(

Facebook is not the greatest. It beats me why it is so popular. Well, I think it's probably that it enables people to establish an entire network of friends, and there's something comforting about that. But what I find wrong with FB is that basically you just sit there and stare at it. There's nothing to DO. You can't write on it like you can on LJ or other journal-style blogs, and there is the unsettling feeling that someday you will write something inappropriate for either your close family or your boss to see. :(

I've seen that yes, so I put a halt to it. Though I do a quick read now and again what everyone's up to, and to follow stuff from writers/publishers/reviewers that might be of interest.

Yes! Me too. I just check Facebook to see what everyone's up to, then I am out of there! :)

Social media used to be fun for me but it became way too time consuming. I want to HAVE a life...not spend all my time writing or tweeting about it. I barely post to Twitter now and really only go on to check up on what my fav tweeters are up to. I have never used Facebook and don't plan on doing so. I go on Tumblr maybe once a day to see the graphics. Livejournal is pretty much the only social media I really utilize anymore and even then I'm not on as frequently as I'd like to be. I find it is somewhat timeconsuming to compose a half decent post so I need to be sure I have a significant timeframe available before I go on LJ. When I am 'formally' unemployed starting next week you may see more posts though...haha.

I can't believe that AGoT will leave out the Tullys. They have to include the Tullys. Without them there is no Red Wedding. I also find it hard to believe they are passing on the Dragonglass discovery scene. That knowledge is essential. I guess they will work that discovery out some other way. If they do change the dragonglass scene, I hope Sam makes the discovery. I honestly believe it would be keeping within Sam's character to have him figure it out.

I really and truly would love a chance to question the writers/producers on their choice to change Asha's name. It doesn't wash. If they were complaining because Asha sounded too much like Osha they should have at least come up with an original name - not one that could have been confused with any other character name. When they said 'Yara' the first thing I thought of was that it sounds like Yoren (and yes Arya, too). How many Rob's are there on the show? Rob(in) Arryn, Robb Stark, Robert Baratheon? I don't think the audience ever confused that trio. I would have been happy if they just referred to Osha as 'the wildling'...she really doesn't need a name. If they stick to the books (which is looking less and less likely each day) she basically disappears after this season whereas Asha becomes far more important throughout the series. They should have changed Osha's name, not Asha's.

Yes, exactly. One's life is more important than social networking, or should be. Sure, facebooking et al can be fun but I don't think it should take up most of your free time. ;)

I do love my Livejournal, though. It's a pleasant escape...

You are formally unemployed? O_O

Re: GoT: I think they have to bring at least one Tully. I suppose it would be Edmure, if anyone, just for his part at the Red Wedding. There has to be a purpose for Robb and Cat to be there.

Having Sam find the dragonglass actually makes a lot of sense. I think that will probably happen. ;)

I hate the name change so much. I will never accept 'Yara'. It's so grating. :(

And yes! There are so many 'Roberts' in various forms! It's crazy to pick on ONE name, but I suppose they did it because it ties in with Theon's story, and it looks like they are making Theon one of the most major characters in the series. I mean, hasn't he been in every episode so far? And that's not likely to change this season, I suppose.
