My favourites all played each other yesterday. There's always going to be a sad result when that happens. In the case of Chelsea vs Spurs, the game was a really strange one. Neither team seemed like it wanted to win. In fact, afterwards the players all greeted each other like long lost friends. I watched the match and I have to say that I adore Steve McManaman as commentator along with Ian Darke. I think next to Ray Hudson and Phil Schoen on GOLTV, Steve & Ian are the BEST. They are so funny - the game was pretty bad, especially the first half when the teams played so slow and defensively - and Ian remarked that it was like a Serie A match, to which Steve responded that Serie A isn't that bad! LOL. I died laughing.
Next, Liverpool hosted Wigan, and lost! While I love Wigan and think they are too good to go down and would be sad if they did, I never thought they'd beat Liverpool at home. And what is wrong with Liverpool this season? I just don't get it.
