Because this league may not be as familiar to people as some as the others, I thought I'd post a little more information about Nacional as well as a picspam of the players and some of the recent matches.
This is the crest and the current kit (home and away).

Another version of the crest and a bit of the stadium.

It's called the Estadio Gran Parque Central and is located in Montevideo.

Date: 2011-11-14 01:52 am (UTC)It's hard to find pics. I have to visit several sites in order to get just a few. The official site has GREAT pics, which at one time I could copy, but not any more. :(
There are several young 'juvenils' on the team...little cuties! XD Sergio Cortalezzi is my favourite of the young boys! :)
You're welcome. Now on to the Colombian picspam! It might take me a few days because I want to make it special too.♥

Date: 2011-11-14 04:00 pm (UTC)Mostly the Uruguayan streams have no good quality :( and they are playing at the same time as the Argentine teams. I have my priorities ;)
Uruguay is 'producing' very good players *smiles*

Date: 2011-11-15 11:39 am (UTC)It's too bad about the Uruguayan stream quality being so bad! It is an interesting league with good teams and players, IMO. And the success of the NT should make more people interested in seeing the league! They should improve on everything from there...pics, streams...*sigh*
LOL @ 'El Rayo'! XD

I guess in South America Uruguay has more fans. In Europe the 'fans' are mostly too stupid to see how beautiful the football there is.

Date: 2011-11-15 03:16 pm (UTC)But, back to your fabulous picspam - first, yay, Marcelo! And I have to admit your team has some cuties. From these pics I especially like Calzada and Poclaba... of course in addition to the ones you already know I like :D
I don't like Vecino, though - no good reason, as I don't even remember seeing him on the pitch. However, he was on the verge of signing for Peñarol during the summer, and at one point the transfer seemed to be done - at least a bunch of sources reported it as a done deal. Then, at the last minute (and I mean minutes before the end of the Uruguayan transfer window), he suddenly signed for Nacional. That makes me feel like we lost him to you or some such, and so I don't like him very much :D
And.... ahem, this IS an impressive list of former players. And you know there are at least two I love among those as well.
