Here is a link to the Serie A site:

The new season will start this Saturday, August 27 with two games: Cagliari vs AC Milan and AC Siena vs Fiorentina.
I am going to be looking forward to seeing AS Roma, with lots of new signings, including this guy, fresh from River Plate in Argentina.

Pictures from the TIM Cup match between Juventus and AC Milan.

Another of Erik Lamela joining AS Roma.

And AC Milan wins the Berlusconi Trophy over Juve.

And some AS Roma training pics from August 17th, prior to their Europa League match. Bojan and Gabriel Heinze are two more new signings for this season.

Date: 2011-08-23 09:59 pm (UTC)But I was VERY shocked to visit the Velez website and find out that Silva is leaving for Fiorentina!!! My god!!! Juan Vargas is there, but still! Why would he do this?
And they were saying that Augusto is not leaving! But who knows? However, they said they would not bring in any new players! :(
What a shocker for Velez!!!! :(

Date: 2011-08-23 10:44 pm (UTC)Silva had some shit clause in his contract and it was only on him to stay or to go it was the same with Maxi :(
Silva said his home would be Vélez....
Have fun with the italian matches I will never watch that shit even if there would play all players I liked before....

Date: 2011-08-24 10:31 am (UTC)I think the Silva move was the more shocking because Silva seemed like such a Velez fixture. He and Seba were even on the Velez background pic for Twitter, and now I see they have replaced Silva with Cubero. For sure Cubero was the better choice in the first place!
Stupid Tanque! :(((((((

Date: 2011-08-24 01:23 pm (UTC)I have read the AFA doesn't allow Vélez to bring another player in for Silva. Okay they can buy one but the one will not play... I don't get the system there. Some clubs can do what they want and other clubs were punished for nothing. As long as the transfer window is open the clubs should be able to have new players on the list!
Vélez twitter has no player in the background! link (http://twitter.com/#!/Velez)
For me it was a chock to read about Silva....

Date: 2011-08-24 05:18 pm (UTC)OK, maybe it wasn't the Twitter site...I was looking at so many different Velez sites to read all the info I could last night and I was very tired....maybe it was the main Velez site then. But they changed the background pic from Silva to Cubero!
For me it was the WORST shock I had all season...even more than the Carlos Bacca going to Russia one at the beginnning of the summer! :(

Date: 2011-08-24 06:49 pm (UTC)Vélez site has the pictures from the new shirt shooting as back ground and they are changing it always *smiles*
Hour before I read Silva sees Vélez as his home.... they all are liars! *is sad*

Date: 2011-08-24 11:08 pm (UTC)Falcao did the same with Porto, so for awhile I didn't know what to think...except that I will always love him no matter what he does.
P.S. To other comment: I can't see any Argentine post! Wait...the one from yesterday! I looked at it last night...did I forget to leave a comment? Maybe I forgot...I will go there.

Date: 2011-08-24 11:41 pm (UTC)I like some transfers but I would prefer players would be more 'loyal' and not always go for the money. Other hand I can understand them because they have to think on their families and they cannot play their life long....
I can understand when a club needs the money and if a players agrees to left.... but the Silva thing looks different. I guess Gareca wanted him to stay because he was always in the squad. Maybe that was the reason he didn't play the last match....
*is sad*
Have read about Forlan and some italian shit.....

Date: 2011-08-25 10:33 am (UTC)But Spurs fans have been going nuts waiting and waiting on the Luka Modric thing. Chelsea had offered him 3 times his current salary (which is about 50,000 Lbs per week). The coach wants the club owner to give him a raise! The player is torn between leaving and staying and his mind is in such a mess that he cannot play! They went through this shit before with Berbatov! He ended up leaving. The club owner is a twat! It is like torture for both Modric and the fans!!!!
I have read AFTER the Italian rumours that Forlan wants to STAY with Atleti! But I have not checked again this morning yet. Let's hope he stays. I would love to see him play with Falcao! :/

Date: 2011-08-25 01:06 pm (UTC)Forlan isn't traveled with Atleti to play Guimaraes today!!!
I have found a very interesting article about the Vélez transfers. Silva had a clause in his contract, he can leave if a club is paying 2,5 mio Dollar, the same clause Maxi had and the Italians paid 8 mio Dollar!
The Argentine transfer window was closed at '31 JULY!!!' and that's the reason Vélez cannot have a player for leaving Silva!
Maxi leaving was the reason to buy Jonathan Ramírez!!!
Ricky Alvarez going to Inter was a totally 'normal' transfer.
I really want to through a bomb on Italy!!!
