Things are starting to become verrryyyy interesting before we hit the group stages, what with all the transfers, done, pending or otherwise. Some rumours will turn out to be wrong, some transfers will not come off at all. And some of the newly transferred players are already playing for their new teams, i.e. Javier Pastore with PSG, but some are yet to be unveiled by their new clubs, i.e. Radamel Falcao with Atletico Madrid.
However, here are some extremely interesting photos from the last couple of rounds of the qualifiers.
Athletic Bilbao vs Trabzonspor - by all means, pull on Fernando Llorente's shirt, thus exposing some of his flesh. We truly don't mind.

More from that match (and I'll name the Athletic players - I still can't believe I met them last December)
Ander Iturraspe

Llorente reacts to a missed shot.

Trabzonspor seems to have him quadruple-teamed.

Oscar de Marcos vs Altintop

Markel Susaeta is bowled over.

Carlos Gurpegi looks a bit frustrated.

Iker Muniain runs with the ball.

And one of my faves (still can't believe he put his arm around me) - Fernando Amorebieta.

This match ended in a 0-0 tie.
*sigh*
Okay, my favourite English team, Tottenham Hotspur, annihilated Hearts of Scotland 5-0.
Roma Pavlyuchenko!

Niko Kranjcar!

Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone

Tommeeeee

Gareth Bale

Kyle Walker

The boys did good

Atletico Madrid (without Falcao) overcame a team interestingly called Godset

The anticipation of Diego Forlan playing with Falcao is making my mouth water

Atleti also signed Adrian Lopez (on the left)

Of all the unfortunate matchups, Sevilla FC had to draw Hannover96 of the Bundesliga! They are one of the top teams in Germany. I like both of these teams a lot, so it's painful.
Some Sevilla players wait in the airport.

Fredy Kanoute

Jesus Navas

Karim Haggui vs Alvaro Negredo

New signing for Sevilla - Piotr Trochowski

He and Christian Pander know each other

Oooo...Pogatetz vs Fazio...neither of these big, strong defenders is gonna back down.

Okay, now for PSG (Paris St. Germain) and Javier Pastore
PSG was playing an interestingly-named team called Differdange

Sporting Lisbon's handsome coach Domingos Pacienca. Sporting is awaiting the arrival of the fabulous Santiago Arias who just finished playing in the U-20 World Cup with Colombia.

This is Joao Pereira.

And Mati Fernandez.

Okay, now some random teams...I didn't get too many photos from each of these games.
This is AS Roma vs Bratislava. Roma has hired lots of interesting new players...like Bojan here, from Barcelona and goalkeeper Martin Stekelenberg from Ajax, as well as Gabriel Heinze from Marseille. I can't wait for Erik Lamela to get there, and now I understand that Pablo Osvaldo may be headed to Roma instead of Atletico Madrid.

SS Lazio - Stephane Mauri hugs Miroslav Klose, whom Lazio hired from Bayern Munich. And rumour has it that Mauro Zarate might be headed out of Lazio, possibly to Spurs, who are looking to sign another striker.

And a very interesting English team - Stoke City. Here, Jonathan Walters with bandaged head is having his shirt pulled by a player from Thun.

That's all. Those were my best pics.
