Very exciting stuff from Ecuador and from the Guatemala-Croatia match. Guatemala set a record showing, having never before reached the World Cup at any level, never mind getting into the knockout rounds. And Ecuador finally produced a good result to ensure their place in the Round of 16. Congrats to both teams.

Here are yesterday's results. The Round of 16 will begin on Tuesday, August 9th.

Congrats to Guatemala and to Ecuador they are a really good team. They will play the next match vs France in Cartagena! Let it be hot and wet there and let France die....

I was thinking the same! It's always nice when some results go your way! :)

Ecuador really is good and I hope they can keep going like they did against the Ticos! And when I saw they will play vs France in Cartagena, I know they will have the 'weather' advantage. Let's hope for the result we want!

And Colombia vs the Ticos will be very pretty. Both teams play attractive, attacking football and have lots of eye candy. :P I feel bad for the Ticos to be going out, but there can be only one winner. (I hope there will be no surprises.)

Of course poor England had to draw the Nigerians! But when I thought more about it, if any team can put the Nigerians out, it will be England with their terrific defense! If they can go to penalties, England can prove to be the 'Paraguay' of this tournament. Let's hope! :/

Somehow I don't know what to think about the tournament.... most matches are not going 'my way' maybe that's the reason.

For me there are playing to many shit teams. I guess I'm not a good football watcher.

I guess England will lose... for me it would be a BIG surprise if not.

Let's hope Colombia will play a good match vs the Ticos.

I think it will be the last Ecuador match :(
