FOOTBALL MEME - DAY 30

jenni_blogI almost had NO time to do this, and it is the LAST DAY of the meme! So I had to MAKE time to post it (and it should have been done yesterday! Luckily, it's SHORT!
Day 30 – Which has been your favourite World Cup? And favourite Euros?
That's easy. Both were recent.
Favourite World Cup: 2006, when I fell in love with the Spain NT like no NT ever before!!!!
Favourite Euros: 2008, when Spain won and avenged their early departure from the 2006 World Cup, which broke my heart at the time.
Why did I not love the 2010 World Cup the best? Because Spain won! Two reasons: First, I didn't think Spain played well, and Sergio Busquets is on the team, which puts a blot on it for me. Second, the refereeing was terrible. So many mistakes, which ruined several outcomes and spoiled the WC for me! (In fact, Spain could easily have lost their quarter-final match against Paraguay except for some bad refereeing that went Spain's way.) Such is life. :(

This has been a wonderful meme to do! I can't believe I actually finished it...the last one of these 30-day memes almost killed me and I had to quit before the end.
