NO...

Chelsea FC v Manchester United FC was the highlight of a draw that pitted FC Internazionale Milano v FC Schalke 04, Real Madrid CF v Tottenham Hotspur FC and FC Barcelona v FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

My worst fear was to have Spurs draw Real Madrid. How can I watch? How can I not watch?

Did I need to be tortured in this way? :(

At least you will definitely have a team to cheer for in the Semis :)

It will be a classic...sorry but I'm cheering for Real Madrid all the way. It will be nice to see Van Der Vart again (or maybe not...depending on the results...LOL)

It is difficult because my favourite EPL team is pitted against my favourite La Liga team...even if I didn't necessarily approve of RM's playing style up to now, I still consider them my favourite La Liga team and I've been around long enough to know that over even a year or so a team can change dramatically. But in the end they are still YOUR team in your heart. :/

Until game time I won't know who I am rooting for the most. I think if it comes down to penalty kicks I will happy for whoever goes through.

On the one hand, it would be a wonderful thing if Real Madrid went through to the semis. Finally. I would love it if Jose Mourinho won another Champions League.

On the other hand, I am ecstatic for Spurs that they have achieved something by making it this far, which they have never done before. So, in a way, Spurs have already gone beyond their wildest dreams. And yet...they know they are good enough to go all the way. This year the team has suffered a huge number of injuries to key players, but the players who have stepped in have done astoundingly well. It would be lovely to watch such an amazing team achieve something so wonderful as to win the Champions League for the first time in their history.

*sigh* It's very difficult.

I must say that some of those results did make me wonder... but then again, what are the odds with just 8 teams? Something was bound to look strange no matter what.

That said, two teams I like (Inter & Schalke) against each other. aha, nice. So, yeah, I get what you mean :( *hug*
On the other hand, if Schalke had drawn Spurs, my brain would have exploded the first time Benni tackled Pavlyu. So I guess this is better for my (brain's) health.

I need to go find myself the schedule for all these games... *goes to uefa.com*
