These are some great pics from the Copa Del Rey matches of January 5th and 6th this week.

Now it's on to the quarter finals for these teams:

Viillareal will play Sevilla on January 12th.
Real Madrid will play Atletico Madrid on January 13th.
Almeria will play Deportivo La Coruna on January 13th.
Barcelona will play Real Betis on January 12th.

This is Juan Mata of Valencia, who were knocked out by Villareal.

Smaller Valencia

More from Villareal vs Valencia.

I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to the clash between Atleti and Real Madrid! :)

*lol*

It would have been better Real vs Barca!
I'll not watch Atleti vs Real because of the ugly fuckers who are with Real!

Poor Betis guys.... to play vs the barca fuckers will be hard!

I'll go with Sevilla and like most times I'll be wrong. Atleti will be out and sevilla too :(

FUCK THE COPA!!!

I watched the Espanyol vs Atleti game and it was really good! Even the Levante vs Real game was good because NONE of the ugly fuckers played and I got to see Pedro Leon and Gago playing, as well as a few other new guys.

This year the quarter-finals, etc. are going to be very difficult. Atleti will have their work cut out for them but if Real plays the same team in the Copa then Atleti has a chance.

I don't know how Betis will do against even a second-string Barca team. I'm very unhappy that Athletic couldn't quite beat them...it was very close.

Today I watched Sevilla play very well against Real Sociedad (not a bad team) especially in the second half. I know Sevilla can do it but Villareal has been doing very well lately.

I don't care about the Copa del Rey that much, but the pics were nice. I saw the pics first and they made me want to watch a couple of the matches! LOL.

Pics are always good *smiles*

I was happy for Gago!!! I want him playing for another team!!! Liverpool should sell Lucas (no fan wants him! on Liverpool site is a feature where the fans can put in their choice of players! NO Lucas and NO Konchesky!)

Real and Barca will make to the next round! Maybe they will lose one match but there are two matches and they will NEVER lose both!

Sevilla.... it will be very hard.

Okay it's only the copa but you can win it and play vs the league winner at the end! I think they have such a match too??????

I have seen parst of the Sevilla match today too and they played not that shitty like in some other matches. Most important: they WON!!!

Now I'm watching the first Cruz Azul match! Gimenez is under fire!!!

Gago would do well at Liverpool. Too bad they have Lucas still and Konchesky but maybe Dalglish will get rid of them!

Yeah, they have the Supercopa or something where the Europa winner will play the CL winner. Last year Atleti beat Inter Milan! LOLLLLLL.

Yeahhhh! Sevilla played GREAT! Martin Caceres was very good offensively but he made a mistake defensively that cost them the first goal. But it turned out okay. Navas is not back to full strength but Perotti was great with his corner kicks and it was NEGREDO who made ALL the difference when he was subbed on near the end! Luis Fabiano was also great and KANOUTE had a fabulous game! When it all works out for Sevilla they are very, very good. but unfortunately, sometimes they play like shit and I don't understand it!

Who knows what will happen now with Liverpool?

Let's hope Sevilla will show some more good matches! I really love Negredo! I have read Liverpool is interested in him! Would be great! *smiles*

OMG, yes! Liverpool could use another great striker I think! Negredo is very strong and would do well, IMO. :)

Just watching the FA Cup game between Man Utd and Liverpool now. The thought crossed my mind already that they should be playing with more than one striker up front now that Stevie G got sent off and Dirk is playing out wide. Lucas is still shit but is still there, and Glen is not! Of course they are missing Carra but the other defensive guys are playing great! I am not looking at this match emotionally...I wanted to watch and try to figure out what they need. Even though I am no technical expert! :/

Normally Mr. Webb is a good referee but since Xabi left Liverpool he hates the team and especially Stevie!
That was NEVER a RED card!!! Now Stevie is out for three matches, I guess.

What a shit start for Kenny! But not all was shit because ManU couldn't score a regular goal and they won only by a penalty.

Defense was okay as long as I have watched the match. I hope Lucas will have some serious injury very soon and he can take with him the Konchesky fucker!

I think they need another striker! Nando isn't on his best and it's frustrating to watch him atm. He needs help from a striker! I love Dirk but he is not a typical striker he is more a 'worker'.
To much to think about...

I do think Webb is among the best, but even he can make mistakes. I agree...I think Stevie's card should have been yellow at the most. He never got a warning before that happened, about ANYTHING. It was very, very harsh, considering that he will have to miss THREE matches! Not fair at all...maybe Liverpool will appeal it! :(

I was impressed by how Liverpool played after the card was issued. And very sad that they could not score and equalize. But Nando and Dirk were playing FAR too deep and the defensive guys were not passing the ball through the midfield as much as kicking the long ball forward, which Nando is just not the type for playing that way! I can understand how they probably wanted to avoid the Man U midfield, but jeez...I would have let Raul Meireles see what he could have done. And Maxi...Maxi was playing tremendously well. He almost scored, if it wasn't for Van der Sar saving it! I guess I could go on and on and it is sooooo off-topic!!! LOL.

I think Liverpool will not appeal. They never do it.

I think Kenny will do a good job and maybe the owners will give him the money to buy some good players. he has the Liverpool soul and the right feeling for what they need right now!

I hope he will be the answer for Liverpool! But the mess they are in is NOT his fault as much as it wasn't Hodgson's! I just think Hodgson wasn't right for the team, but Kenny should be the right man!

The Real Madrid Levante game provided a great opportunity for Jose Mourinho to let the kids play. They weren't brilliant but they weren't bad either. Yes they went on to lose that game but it was already 8-0 on aggregate before they started so there really wasn't much to decide. The highlight of course was watching Gago not only start but play as captain of Real Madrid. What an honour. Needless to say, you, me and probably a lot of other Madridistas are very happy to see him back and playing.

I confess that watching the Real Madrid-Levante game was a pleasure. Watching Gago on his return was a real trip! It was great. :)
I thought he did extremely well considering that he only recently returned after a long absence. I love to see the other youngsters playing as well. I think it's quite wonderful that Mourinho has these two teams, and that he gives everyone a chance to play. It's only a positive influence on their development and it's not as if any of the players at Real Madrid lack talent. :)
