REAL LIFE UPDATE

I have been extremely, horrendously, frustratingly busy for the past week. There are many posts and things I need to catch up on, and will do so soon. Right now I am exhausted and will use today to watch football, tidy up the house a little bit and read some posts, e-mail, etc. Tomorrow I will begin to catch up by leaving comments and replying to different things, as well as go back to collecting photos and perhaps doing a few picspams.
I worked two shifts yesterday...my own as well as a coworker's who went up north to visit her family in Windsor, which is just north of Detroit, Michigan.
Olivia and Joseph left this morning to go back to Montreal. I will miss them horribly but they'll be back on November 10th, to stay for awhile (I hope through Christmas).
I am working on my travel plans to Europe. I should be leaving on December 1st and should be back around December 13th. Details to follow once I have finalized everything.
My most recent major purchase: an Amazon Kindle e-reader! I've been spending some time learning my way around this. I've bought a few books to read on it, like Never Let Me Go by Kasuo Ishiguro which I've just started, as well as some freebies, including a 25-language phrasebook which will come in handy when in Europe. :)
OK, I'll catch up with everybody soon, I promise!♥

Date: 2010-10-27 11:48 pm (UTC)I really like the Kindle but haven't used it very much yet. I'm waiting for my protective covers, etc. to come, as well as finish the current 'regular' book I'm reading - Alexander Pushkin's 'The Captain's Daughter and Other Stories'.
I love the lightness of the e-reader, though, and can't wait to start reading books on it. :)
