The score was 2-0 for Peru and could easily have been 4-0. Canada is awful. :(
There was NO Claudio Pizarro or Paolo Guerrero for Peru either! Otherwise it could possibly have been a rout.

It was a thrill to be able to go to my first international match and to have such great seats. We were in Row 3 (that's only three rows away from the pitch), behind the Canadian bench. It was in a small section of Peruvian supporters. In the row in front of us and beside me were a group of Peru fangirls, holding up banners and signs, and they were clearly Juan Vargas fangirls. Whenever he appeared close to us (which was often) they stood, screamings, "Vargas! Vargas!" and held up their signs and banners. There was a photographer stationed right below them who took pictures of them every time they started screaming and no doubt I was in the photos too, because I was right behind them. I've looked, but haven't found any yet. LOL.

Okay, some notable players and my comments. Yes, Vargas is hot. He has an amazing build, kind of stocky but it's a good thing he never took his shirt off because his muscles would be to die for and I couldn't have taken the fangirls screaming.

Jefferson Farfan was there! OMG it was so amazing to see him in person! And he's so good...he was so much better than almost everyone else on the pitch. Peru just outclassed Canada in so many ways. We have so much work to do. *facepalm*

Another hottie was #20 for Peru...Jose Carlos Fernandez. He plays for Deportivo Quito in Ecuador and scored one of the two goals yesterday. The other was scored by Jean Tragodora of Alianza Lima.

#4 was built as well...nice and solid. His name is Walter Vilchez and he plays for Alianza Lima. They are a good team...the Peru NT has three players from there, all talented.

Oh yeah...this was a TV crew from Peru, who came and stood right in front of us and did a show from the stands. The host was an older man in a suit...I have no idea who he is.

Okay, game is over. I tried to get some good shots but most of the time the fangirls blocked me.

This is Issey Nakajima-Farran of Canada. He is a hottie and he knows it. Just before he was subbed on he stood up in front of the bench to change his clothes. I was transfixed by his body and his tan, and by the time I realized I should have gotten my camera out, he was coming on.
