Unfortunately, not ALL matches are shown. As I've discussed before, the photographers are more interested in shooting the players with the biggest names or most popular players with the biggest clubs. I suppose the fans are interested in the same, and not (as I am) in the more obscure players/teams. *sigh*

THIS from the Valencia/Tenerife game:

I don't know. In the case of football, the top four teams get to be in the Champions League and reap the reward of more money being issued to them to buy players, etc.

For Real Madrid it doesn't matter about the money, but they DO want to win the Champions League. For Valencia and Sevilla the chance to play CL is invaluable.

In this way I believe there is more than one winner...there are four! The chance is there to WIN one of the European trophies as well! Somebody has to! Look at Atletico Madrid this year, winning the Europa League when they've had such a disappointing season. I guess the way I see it is that there are four winners, each with the opportunity to win something much bigger! :)

Yes, they do want to win CL... thing is that they didn't. This season is over and in this season we still won nothing. Promise that maybe we will next season is usually hanging somewhere in the air. Personally, I believe that La Liga is in sort of troubles because of a valley that divides the league. Points' differences even between first 4 teams are just scary. Gap between second and third place- 23 points. Something is wrong there.
Basic difference between Atleti and Real is exactly what you said. Atleti won and Real not. So no matter how optimistic way I want to look at future, it is future. And seriously, can you imagine now Real outside top 4? After these transfers and all? Group suicides would be highly possible.

Group suicides!!!! OMG, it would probably happen!

I heard on TV that the Spanish Association is discussing ways to change the league format and to make the second league also more interesting. I tried to find an article in print but wasn't successful. I guess we'll wait and see. But it's true that this was the most uninteresting league to watch this year. Personally, I find Barcelona extremely boring. I've tried to watch them but I could never really enjoy them, despite all they've won.

I do hope something can be done to fix the problem too!
