I decided to post a list of all my favourite teams in the leagues I watch on TV. Just to have it and update it from time to time. I'll put it under a cut.

But first, the leagues I watch the most are the Premiership and La Liga.

Most of my favourites are probably going to stay the same, but some fluctuate from time to time. Sometimes I can fall OUT of love with a team or a player.

Favourite Premiership teams:

1) Favourite London team: Tottenham Hotspur: Favourite player: Luka Modric
2) Favourite Northern team: Liverpool: Favourite player: Steven Gerrard
3) Guilty secret: Manchester United: No favourite players. I just like watching them.CHICHARITO!!!!! (Javier Hernandez)
4) Favourite Hopeless team: Wigan Athletic: Favourite player(s): Hugo Rodallega, Marcelo Moreno

Do I hate any Premiership teams? YES!!! Fulham! Hull City! Die, die, die! LOL.

La Liga (Liga BBVA)

1) Favourite overall: Real Madrid: Favourite player(s): Sergio Ramos, Fernando Gago, Ezequiel Garay, Raul Albiol, Iker Casillas.
2) Favourite southern: Sevilla: Favourite player(s): Diego Perotti, Jesus Navas, Julien Escude, Renato, Fazio.
3) Favourite northern: Athletic Bilbao: Favourite player(s): Javie Martinez, Fernando Amorebieta, Fernando Llorente, Fran Yeste.
4) Guilty secret: Atletico Madrid: Favourite player(s): Tiago Mendes! Also Kun Aguero, Eduardo Salvio, Diego Forlan.
5) Favourite hopeless team: Zaragoza: Favourite player(s): Leonardo Ponzio, Angel Lafita, Ander Herrera.

Other teams I like in La Liga are Valencia, Villareal and Almeria.

Bundesliga

1) Favourite team(s): Stuttgart and Schalke. I can't choose between them. Favourite player(s): For Stuttgart: Serdar Tasci, Sami Khedira, Ciprian Marica, Kuzmanovic. For Schalke: Ivan Rakitic, Rafinha, Marcelo Bordon, Benni Hoewedes.
2) Guilty secret: Borussia Dortmund. Favourite player(s): None, really. I like them all!
3) Favourite hopeless team: Hertha Berlin. Favourite player(s): Adrian Ramos!!! Arne Friedrich, Levan Kobiashvilli!

I also like Wolfsburg and Edin Dzeko!

Argentine Primera

1) Favourite team: River Plate, tied with Velez Sarsfield. Favourite players: None, really, but I really love Diego Buonanotte and Sebastian Dominguez. Maxi Moralez too!
2) Guilty secret: Lanus: Favourite player: None, really. I love the coach, Zubeldia!
3) Second favourite: Racing. Favourite player(s): Claudio Yacob! Fabian Ayala, Claudio Bieler, Pablo Luguercio.
4) Soft spot for: Independiente and Estudiantes. Player(s): ALL of them! But particularly Veron, Cuqui and Eduardo Tuzzio.
5) Hopeless team: Arsenal de Sarandi: Favourite player: None!

Colombian Copa Postobon: OMG, I LOVE THIS LEAGUE TO DEATH!

The Colombians play, like, the most intensely interesting football! It is my favourite by far. The players are soooo talented, and they all play with a style according to each of their own personalities! IMO, this is why they do not excel as a national team. They are wild! They are undisciplined, a lot of them. But the football is so great to watch! And these are my four favourite teams, in order:

1) Junior de Barranquilla: Favourite player: Geovanny Hernandez
2) Deportivo Cali: Favourite player: Juan Dominguez.
3) Atletico Nacional: Favourite player(s): Giovanni Moreno, Gaston Pezzutti.
4) Millonarios: Favourite player: None!

Italian Lega Calcio

1) Palermo: Favourite player(s): Javier Pastore, Edison Cavani
2) Napoli: Favourite player(s): Ezequiel Lavezzi, German Denis.

France Lique 1

1) Lyon: Favourite player(s): Cesar Delgado, Lisandro Lopez.
2) Bordeaux: Favourite player(s): Yoann Gourcuff, Marouane Chamakh, Benoit Tremoulinas.
3) St. Etienne: Favourite player(s): Augusto Fernandez, Gonzalo Bergessio, Loic Perrin.

EDIT: Aaagghhh! I forgot I like the Uruguayan league too.

Favourite team(s): Penarol: Player: Jonathan Urretavizcaya.
Second favourite: Nacional de Montevideo: Player(s): Sebastian Coates, Alvaro Gonzalez, Rodrigo Munoz.

And the Mexican Primera!

1) Favourite team(s): Cruz Azul, Chivas de Guadalajara: Player(s): Rogelio Chavez for Cruz Azul (plus many others) and Patricio Araujo for Chivas.
2) Soft spot: Pumas: Player: Francisco Palencia.
3) Guilty secret: Estudiantes Tecos: Player: Rubens Sambueza.

I also like a few other teams: Pachuca, Tigres, Jaguares. And so many other players that I cannot possibly name them all here!

Is this the same Marcelo Moreno who was at Bremen in Germany?
Mmmmm Diego Forlán! ♥ same for Tasci
I'm loving your Schalke list ;p all of it.
I can't get over how Hertha was a title contender last year and now this :S
Are you a member of the Ahh Serie A community here on LJ? They had a post with this hilarious Napoli calendar
I can't make up my mind about Chamakh, sometimes I think he's hot, sometimes I don't know.

YES!! It is the same Marcelo Moreno! I followed him with the Bolivian NT in the South American WC qualifiers and now wherever he goes.♥
Hahahaha @ Schalke list.
Awww...poor Hertha. It's so ridiculous what happened to them. :(
Oh yes, I am a member of Ahh Serie A! Hahaha! And yes, I saw the Napoli calendar!
Oh, I like Chamakh more for how he plays but I like his look as well. Most of the time, like you. Otherwise, I think Tremoulinas is very cute.

I've never seen Chamakh play. I've only seen him in this Survivor-type crack video he made with Gourcuff (him I have seen play, in the national team only, though) and some other guy, which they were voting each other off "the island."
I think he just signed for Arsenal, though. Least that's what I read today on transfermarkt.de

Ooohhh! I'd LOVE to see the Surivior-type crack vid that Chamakh and Gourcuff made! Is it on Youtube?

I've heard that he has signed for Arsenal! How exciting. :)

Ahhhh! It all started with watching one league on TV, and then another, and then another...until it became like a giant behemoth of leagues and games!

Sometimes on the weekend I have to limit my TV schedule to only six games per day, otherwise I'd get nothing else done! LOL.

There are far too many channels that carry the football games, that is my problem!

*butts in* You watch them all on TV?! wow you're really lucky!!
I only get Serie A on TV, the dutch league (which I have no interest in), and the odd Premiere League game (usually one no one wants to watch).

I think because Toronto is such a cosmopolitan city there is much interest in all the European and South American teams. This makes me very lucky indeed, because our TV has such varied programming. We can get football on 3 different specialty Pay TV stations, as well as several sports network stations, although these usually show only the English Premier League as well as the Champions and Europa leagues. There is a combined Italian/Spanish network that is on free TV that shows Il Calcio games every weekend. We get almost everything, and of course there is also online streaming if there is something I want to watch that I can't get here.

But GOLTV gives us the Spanish, Brazilian, Colombian and Uruguayan league games, as well as some of the tournaments (like the U-20s and U-21s). AND THE BUNDESLIGA! Oh, and the MLS as well!

FOXSW gives us Argentine, Italian, Australian, and a few tournaments including the Club World Cup.

Setanta gives us the EPL, French Ligue 1 and Russian league games, as well as rugby.

The basic sports networks follow the big tournaments, like the CL and Europa, the World Cup and Euros too.

And I've probably forgotten some!

You really know your teams and players. I must agree on Edison Cavani in Serie A. He's become one of my favourite players this season.

There are so many 'interesting' players, but I am usually interested in the South Americans. It started when I was watching the South American qualifiers for the World Cup. I got to know who a great many of the players were, and I continued following some of them. Uruguay has many extremely talented players. I'm definitely following them as one of my WC teams to do well this summer. Edison Cavani is pretty special! :)
