LA LIGA IS BACK IN ACTION

A picspam from this weekend's action plus a few featured players. These should be good for making some new icons to use during the new season.

You can see the standings here. And if you click on 'Fixtures & Results' you can see the scores. LOL...for now Barcelona is in 13th place and Real Madrid is #1. I love it...of course, Barca will be playing later today.

The first match of the weekend that I watched was Valencia vs Racing. But the actual first match was Atletico Madrid vs Osasuna. It sounds like it was really boring. Falcao could not start for Atleti because his international work permit did not come through yet. I hope it's there for next week! And I don't know yet what has happened with Diego Forlan, but I believe his move to Inter Milan is imminent.

ARGENTINE FOOTBALL!

When did I last do an Argentine post? I don't even know...I am feeling like making posts in my journal these days rather than my comms...the last one I made at hot_argie_love was August 6th and it was of the River Plate vs Nacional of Montevideo, Uruguay friendly preseason match. So since I have posted NOTHING yet from the first few games of the new season, I think I'll just do a picspam from some of the matches so far.

Top four spots in the "A" so far are held by Atletico Rafaela (!!!!!!), Boca Juniors, Racing Club and Lanus, in that order. But it's early days yet, so we'll see.

In the "B" it's River on top, followed by Instituto, Gimnasia Jujuy and Rosario Central for the top four:
