WHAT A MESS!

I guess I should feel really lucky that I made it to Bilbao. First, there was the snowstorms that hit (and are continuing to hit) Paris, France, which I have to fly through because my travel agent booked me on Air France to save money. I had originally wanted to fly Lufthansa.

However, now there is a new glitch, one that has prevented my LJ friends drbillbongo and blue_eyed_miss from joining me here because the Spanish air traffic controllers have called a strike, as of yesterday. I think it was done now because of the Constitucion holiday in Spain, which is on December 6th but has started already because of the weekend.

So now I don't know if I will be able to leave on December 7th. I was supposed to fly back to Paris and then on to Berlin, and I was worried just because of the snow. I have already been looking at train schedules. There is a train from here to Valladolid where I would have to transfer to another train that goes to Paris. There may be other ways to do it as well, as long as I can get back home.

Well, this is truly a sad day. I will not be seeing my friends after all plus there is the added worry of perhaps not being able to continue my trip after Bilbao.
