Here are some images from two games that took place yesterday. Canada vs Jamaica and El Salvador vs Costa Rica. Canada and El Salvador won their respective games.
A teaser:
This is Walter Centeno, Costa Rica's playmaker, in the red & blue.

Leo Gonzalez, Costa Rican defender. (Looks a lot like Lucho Gonzalez, the Argentine, IMO.) Leo has just transferred to Seattle Sounders FC in the MLS from Liberia of Costa Rica.

I am going to follow Costa Rica in the Gold Cup, as well as Mexico!
The trouble with the Gold Cup is that many players are playing in the MLS, which season is going on right now. So lots of players have decided to stay with their teams, and the NTs have to field new squads and give other players a chance. Sometimes it works out very well. We'll see how it goes for Canada but I don't have much hope! *shrugs*

Date: 2009-07-04 11:28 pm (UTC)I so want the Mexicans to win, but like you said...they have been so shitty and now poor Omar Arellano is injured!
It would be so awesome if the Americans got so cocky that they fuck up. I want to watch the other teams to see if any look strong enough to beat the USA and make them eat crow. Costa Rica is a good team. Yesterday they fielded a team of subs, saving their best, which makes me think they are serious about trying to win this. Honduras as well, could be good, so I want to see their games too! *here's hoping*
(But not too much!) :(
Sometimes football is shitty and nothing goes right!
