SERGIO ROMERO: THE REPLACEMENT GOALKEEPER DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB!

Sergio Romero was fantastic last night. (LOL. I mean in goal. I wouldn't know about anything else. XD) Becoming the No. 1 goalkeeper because of an injury to Osky Ustari, he did a damn fine job. Quite perfect, in fact, along with the stunning Argentine defense, in order to stop an onslaught of attacks from a very good Nigerian squad.

OMG, yes. I hope the coach took notice of his performance. I know the Argies only allowed one goal (The Netherlands scored it, didn't they?) during the Olympics. But I can't remember whether it was scored on Osky or Sergio. If Romero actually managed a shutout tournament, then I believe AZ will probably get some serious offers for him. He is really awesome.

Yeah I was really impressed with Sergio!!! :) When Oscar got injured I was all "NOOOOOOOOOOOO" :( And of course I'm very sorry for him, but wow, Sergio sure did an awesome job too ^^ Plus he's gorgeous!!!

Oh yeah, Sergio Romero is awesome! I love Osky too, but Sergio really proved how good he is. And he is so hot too! Always a bonus. LOL.

Romero was just AWESOME in the two games I watched. He didn't make one single mistake. And he's only Alkmaar's second goalie? Hard to believe, isn't it? :) Anyway, I'm so proud of him and I hope he'll play for Argentina a lot more often. That boy has talent. :)

Yeah, I agree. Romero is one awesome GK. I bet AZ gets a lot of offers for him now. Basile (if he is still the senior Argie NT's coach) should call up most of the players from the Olympics, if he wants to regain the No. 1 spot in the WC qualifying from Paraguay.

Sergio played such a great game (well, great games)! I'm really impressed with him... and he's so nice to look at *kisses*
He's exactly a week younger than I am, lol.
I can't get over how tall he is! I mean, every guy in my family is over 6 feet, but next to Messi, Sergio is crazy tall.
I love his dark socks up to the middle of his thigh, lol. At first I was like "I wonder if he realizes how weird he looks?" but it grew on me.
I definitely feel the crush happening, and that first picture is so awesome!

LOL. I think Romero is 6' 3-1/2" tall, and Messi must be only 5' 3". The shortest player is Diego Buonanotte, who I know is only 5' 1" because I watch River Plate all the time and they've mentioned that a few times. And Messi looks only a couple of inches taller than him, and about a foot shorter than Romero. I guess I could check out his profile on Wiki.

A lot of the players seem to wear their socks to cover their knees this year. But what caused me to blink a couple of times was the fact his shirt is purple and his socks are blue! I wonder why he did that?
