HUGE RIVER PLATE PICSPAM

Club Atletico River Plate of Argentina is one of the best, most exciting club teams in the world. They are currently my favourite team of all, as in I would drop whatever I was doing to watch one of their games. So I decided to do (another) picspam of River, but this time I am using pics I've never posted before (I don't think) that focus on each individual player. Credit for the fabulous pics goes mostly to the cariverplate.com site.
Here is a teaser pic:
It is of the team celebrating after winning the recent Argentine Championship.

The rest of the picspam is below the cut.
Mmmm...here's a typical celebration/manpile pic:

And another campeones pic.

First, there are four players from this River Plate team who also play for their national teams. These are:
1) Diego Buonanotte - Argentina

2) Radamel Falcao - Colombia

3) Sebastian Abreu - Uruguay

4) Alexis Sanchez - Chile

And now for the sad news. Some of the best River Plate players have transferred to other teams. These are:
1) Juan Pablo Carrizo - Goalkeeper - to Lazio in Italy

2) Alexis Sanchez - Midfielder/Winger - to Udinese in Italy

3) Sebastian Abreu - Forward - to Beitar Jerusalem

~~
But here are pics of the players as they were last season when they won the Clausura. Unfortunately there weren't pics of all the guys - some of them are new and the site hadn't uploaded pics of them yet. But here are the main players.
JUAN PABLO CARRIZO - GOALKEEPER

OSCAR AHUMADA - Defender (I don't like him so I'm only showing one pic. LOL.)

ARIEL ORTEGA - Forward/Midfield/Playmaker (Ariel is Mr. River Plate. He is their captain. He's 34 years old and still going strong.)

MATIAS ABELAIRAS - Defensive Midfielder (He's one of my favourites, so lots of pics. XD)

Celebrating with Alexis Sanchez.

And with Radamel Falcao.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ - Midfielder/Winger (One of my top 3 favourites on this team. LOTS of luscious pics. LOL)

Celebrating with Abreu.

RADAMEL FALCAO - Forward (THE poster boy for River - he is their rock star. Another of my top 3 faves - TONS of pics - can't help it - the photogs go nuts on him.)

JUAN OJEDA - Goalkeeper (Will he be No. 1 now that Carrizo has left?)

CRISTIAN VILLAGRA - Defender/Left Back

AUGUSTO FERNANDEZ - Midfielder (He is my No. 4 favourite player)

DIEGO BUONANOTTE - Attacking Midfielder (He is their wonderkid. Only 20 and 5' 1" tall, he's made the Argentine Olympic team.)
Here he is celebrating when River won the Clausura in June.

With Oscar Ahumada.

At the bottom of a manpile.

GUSTAVO CABRAL - Defender

That's him without the shirt during the celebrations. With Carrizo in the tight, form-fitting white t-shirt. Okay, where am I? I seem to have lost my place. LOL. Enjoy.

Some pics with Sebastian Abreu during corner kicks.

DANILO GERLO - Defender

LOL. Arguing with Martin Palermo of Boca.

With Sebastian Abreu for a corner kick.

PAULO FERRARI - Defender

LEONARDO PONZIO - Midfielder converted to Defender.

ANDRES RIOS - Forward (One of the new puppies - but there were a few pics of this cutie available, fortunately.)
Whatever it is you're doing, cutie, please keep doing it!!!

MAURO ROSALES - Forward (He was injured for a lot of the season, unfortunately.)

And last but not least, my last top 3 favourite:
SEBASTIAN ABREU - Central Forward

LOL...

And lastly, on the sub bench.
