The new season got started this past weekend. Here are some photos from some of the matches. My favourite teams are predominant (Junior, Millos and America de Cali in the 'B'), but I'm also including some transfer news and info, and some pretty pics from a few of the other matches. (Pics only make it into this space if they are pretty.) :P

Giovanni Hernandez of Junior, the player considered to the best in the league, scored his 100th goal. He is a midfielder, not a striker. :)

Now they call him G100.

In transfer news, Junior needs a new striker now that Carlos Bacca has joined Club Brugge in Belgium. They wanted to sign Fernando Uribe from Chievo Verona, in Italy, but his club wouldn't let him go until the summer.

A club representative from Junior has gone to Italy to negotiate directly with Chievo's president to try and effect a transfer before the window closes tomorrow. And it looks positive, according to recent reports. So let's keep our fingers crossed that things will work out for Junior!
