EPL: PICS FROM THIS WEEKEND'S MATCHES

I wonder if there are just too many matches over the Christmas season. It seems the teams are playing every couple of days, and I'll bet this has an impact on performance. Most of the teams at the top of the table were unable to win their matches this weekend. Both Manchester teams and Chelsea (now 5th) lost their games, while Spurs (in 3rd place) tied. But both Arsenal (now 4th) and Liverpool (6th) won. It's a very interesting race for not only the top spot but for the top four.
There will be games today, Tuesday and Wednesday, but nothing next weekend. Next Wednesday, January 11th, matches will resume.
This is from Chelsea's loss to Aston Villa.

Might as well continue with pics from Chelsea vs Aston Villa. Didier Drogba seems to have sat on top of Stephen Warnock, but the two remain friends. ;P

From Arsenal vs QPR

From Liverpool vs Newcastle

From Manchester United vs Blackburn Rovers

Bryan Ruiz, from Norwich vs Fulham

And lastly, from the disappointing Swansea vs Spurs. :(

Date: 2012-01-03 07:19 pm (UTC)I too am a Schalke 04 fan, I've liked them since I was little - I followed the Bundesliga because I enjoyed learning German, and liked the number 04 because my birthday's the 4th of the month. Just wondered, how did you become a Schalke supporter?
Happy New Year! x

Date: 2012-01-04 01:45 pm (UTC)Sadly, things didn't work out for the Reds last night. :(
This Suarez thing has been most unfortunate all around. :((
I became a Schalke supporter when we were able to get the Bundesliga on TV here...late 2006, I believe. They've been through many changes since then...personnel...coaches...but I've always enjoyed the way they played football. I love Schalke itself, and not for any particular players, but they always seem to bring in players I like as well, so me and the team obviously think the same way. :)
