I haven't made a post in awhile, so why not start with this one. Since I'm always on the lookout for some unusual & interesting pics, this photo caught my eye right away.



It's from the friendly match between the USA and Honduras. This bullfrog just manages to escape being stepped on by Carlos Costly as it leaps across the football pitch. On a side note, this was Jurgen Klinsmann's first win as coach of the USA national team.

And the Seattle Sounders won the US Open Cup for a 3rd straight year. I predicted it a long time ago, so I'm gonna blow my own horn. And my picspam features a Colombian whose career I've been following for a long time, since he was the top scorer in the Copa Libertadores at age 18: Fredy Montero.

what, klinsmann is usa coach? good luck to him!!!

i guess you've had timezone difficulties with the european qualifiers? :/ or you're mad hahaha. i'm thinking of them non-stop really, so much epicness! russia practically qualified, now they just shouldn't lose to andorra haha. croatia had a major fail, lost to greece. and vedran got a concussion:((( hope he'll be ok soon but also hope he won't play already on tuesday!

croatia still can qualify even directly as best runners-up though! but it depends on at least three matches eek...
i also hope serbia qualifies for the playoffs... and czech republic... the euro will be great:P

Yeah, Klinsi is the new USA coach! No, no luck to him! LOL. I don't like the US team...they are fierce rivals of Mexico, whom I ADORE. XD

My stupid TV has so far not really shown any of the Euro qualifiers here. I guess I could watch them via streaming...but I am limited as to the time I have available. OMG, I'm so happy for Russia! Oh god, I hope Croatia doesn't totally fail!!! :(

Poor Vedran!!! I hope he'll recover soon! :(

I think Serbia and the Czechs have really good teams...I also like Bosnia-Herzegovina (thanks for making their game a bet&win challenge, btw), but there is so much competition among the Eastern European teams! :/

hehe ok.

yeah i quite like bosnia too:) though tbh if they don't qualify directly, i'll prefer practically any team to them. (there are playoff matches between teams that finished second in their groups... so croatia can't totally fail now, they've guaranteed a playoff spot... i just hope they can qualify directly bc less stress then hehe) so yeah i hope they finish first and everyone will make fun of france again:P

Idk, it seems to me that European competition is very competitive this time around. XD I wish I could see more of the qualifiers, but they are just not showing them here.

GREAT that Croatia should qualify!!! YAYYY!

I don't know what to think about France...they seem stronger now. :(

I know! The frog sequence of pics was terrifying! But it looks as if it managed to escape being stepped on, when you look at the progression it made as it leaped across the path of the player. (Whom I doubt even noticed it.) O_O

But it made for a great set of pics, I thought! XDDD
