Hahahaha...I started off watching the Bundesliga for Bayern. And then I got put off when they had that awful coach...what was his name again? And players I liked left...starting with Poldi I think...and at the same time I was developing a strong affection for the team in blue. Even after Schalke was overhauled, I still felt the same way about them. And even that dreadful Magath couldn't change my mind when he came in...so I guess it's true love. It doesn't hurt that Raul is there. And that he stayed another season...he must be fond of them too...says a lot.
LOL...in 2009 when I visited Munich, I bought a Schweinsteiger shirt (I still like him a lot), a beautiful Bayern sports bag that was awfully expensive...close to 100 euros, a Lahmi scarf and some other Bayern souvenirs. I liked them a lot, but Schalke has overtaken them and captured my heart. ♥
If it means anything, I love the German NT and do think they are the best in the world year after year, and it kills me that they seem to choke right at the worst time. :(
