Here are some adorable photos of some of my favourite teams in Argentina. Including River Plate, in the Primera B for this season anyway. :)

Juan Eluchans joins Banfield from U. de Catolica in Chile.

More from Banfield: new young boys having their heads shaved.

YEAH for Luchetti is back from loan (Boca)!!!

Poor banfield boys!!!

It's GREAT to watch Justo Villar again!!!

Can't wait to watch my boys!

Let's hope for River Plate!

I'm very angry about Independiente!!! They just lost vs AJAX 5 -1!!! To send only a reseve team to Europe was the worst ever! Why they are playing in the shit USA with the first team!!! Okay, that's not the fault of the players but atm I hahe this club!

Oh yeah...I read your post yesterday about Inde but I didn't reply yet until I could find out what was going on!

I bet they sent the best team to the place where they would make the most money! And this is what I disliked about exhibition games! I went to many in the past, and the best was Millos because they sent Gerardo, and Oscar Cordoba!!! The team played like it was a final! But others have been terribly disappointing because the players I wanted to see were left at home! :(

I decided NOT to buy tickets to see Sporting vs Juventus yesterday, because I figured the best players would not be there! I WAS WRONG!!!!!

No Mati, of course, and no Santiago Arias for Sporting, but Juve had Alessa Del Piero and Gigi Buffon! And Sporting had FITO RINAUDO whom they signed from GELP!!!!!

I wanted to cry...........I am getting a picspam ready. :(((((((((

River Plate looks FIERCE already!!!! I have a good feeling that they will do it...they will be BACK next year!!!! :)

I hate all the money.... and I'm happy I was not there! The reserves lostb 5-1 *lol* good experience for them to tell the first team how good football in Europe is and not in the fucking shithole called USA!!! *is pissed off*

*lol* @ Juve.... Buffon is one of my most hated players! I'm glad for Rinaudo!

When I checked it looked like San Lorenzo and Tigre probably have the most changes...but looking on the bright side, at least you have Bianchi Arce back! :/

Yup, if rumours are true, he had everything set to sign with us but he found out about some shady business between his manager and someone from our management, so he decided to fire his manager and go to Independiente, instead of getting involved in something that could hurt SL :'(
I have no idea if it's true, but it does seem strange that he was ready to sign and it all fell through the day after that.
Malevooooooooooooooo :( :( :(
Lol Bianchi Arce. We do have a ton of players back from their loans though.

Aw jeez...it's such a disappointment when things like that happen. :(

This season should be interesting, with - what? - FOUR new teams in the Primera? O_O

It's kind of sad cause our management is fairly new, so one hopes that stuff like this will stop happening, but honestly, I've come to terms with the fact our football will always be corrupt and that I have to pray and do everything in my power to prevent them from destroying my club. YAY!

It's so sad...and the unfortunate thing is, the problem probably won't be solved anytime soon. :(

I've said it before and I'll say it again: being a fan of an argie club implies a lot more than watching matches and buying jerseys :/ I'm controlling my management 24/7, checking the club's finances, reading the summaries from the management's meetings (I could go in person, but they're usually held while I'm in class) to see on what terms we buy each players, going to marches, paying the socio fee every month... Lol. It's exhausting. Thankfully a couple of socios have opened up a bank account where all fans can deposit money that will go exclusively to cover the "inhereted debt" (meaning the one that the old management left us with...) so I'll be going this week to pitch in with what I can. Can't leave the club alone during the hard times! hahaha

Wow. It does sound like a job. And total involvement in your club. Idealistically that sounds great, but if you fans have to pay off your club's debt.... :((((((

Oh, I'm nothing compared to some people who actually spend most of their free time in the club. Helping the kids from the youth system (so many of them are little kids from a different province, living alone in the club) either by spending time with them or buying them lunch, people who help with the growth of the amateur sports (our rugby team is just starting out :D), I know of a doctor who specializes on knees who has offered to work for the club for free, etc. etc.
I'm pretty happy about the account, we've raised 30,000 pesos in a week. Hopefully once the tournament starts and people learn about it at the stadium, we'll be able to raise even more!
