Born 9 June 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pezzuti began his youth career with Racing Club, then played with a number of clubs, including Oviedo in Spain. He returned to Argentina, found some success there, and in 2009 moved to Atletico Nacional in Medellin, Colombia, where he has become its captain as well as an idol and a legend after saving 3 penalty kicks to help his team win the 2011 Apertura title.
