THE HAPPY BUNDESLIGA WEEKEND PICSPAM

The Bundesliga! What a trip it's been so far this season for the league. And yes, I know it's still early, but what craziness! For me it's been quite exciting to see new teams at the top, with Mainz being the hugest surprise. I know nothing at all about Mainz. The team I am most interested in this year is Hannover96, with Florian Fromlowitz, their goalkeeper, being my favourite player. He grabbed my attention last season when he was the goalkeeper who had to take the unenviable position of being Robert Emke's replacement. And last season was almost disastrous for Hannover, when they almost could have been relegated but for a late-season rally. This year they've been off to a wonderful start, with Florian getting accolades for his performances in goal. (I am so proud of him!) I've managed to watch only two of their games so far, but they've been riveting. I love this team!♥

Okay, so here is a smallish picspam of the past weekend's matches. Only the most interesting pics need apply! XD

October 1st: Hannover 0 - 1 St. Pauli

October 2nd:
Nuremberg 2 - 1 Schalke (*sigh*- another loss)
Mainz 4 - 2 Hoffenheim (amazing Mainz)
Borussia M'Gladbach 1 - 1 Wolfsburg (ho-hum)
Hamburg 2 - 1 Kaiserslautern (as it should be)
Freiburg 3 - 2 Cologne (lots of goals)

October 3rd:
Stuttgart 1 - 2 Frankfurt (Stuttgart off to poor start)
Bayer Leverkusen 2 - 2 Werder Bremen (neck and neck)
Borussia Dortmund 2 - 2 Bayern Munich (bad start for Bayern)

More from the Hannover-St. Pauli match. St. Pauli are also an exciting team to watch. This was a great game.

Well, Florian is my favourite, but I admit to having a bit of a sexual attraction to Schulz!!! (And Pogatetz, of course, but I felt that way when he was with Middlesbrough in the EPL!)

Oh yeah, I'm with you on all of 96's attractive players! :P

No problem. I was mad there were NO pics of Pogatetz and only ONE far-away one of Florian!!! But then I can always look at YOUR picspams and see them. And nice, big closeups too! XDDD

St. Pauli is such a strange team! I wasn't sure how I felt about them in the beginning, but now I don't really like them. We'll see how I feel after some more games. :(

I don't understand Bayern! But they usually come back strong towards the end of the season and win the fucker! :(

Hamburg and Werder will have to do better.

I was so confused when I saw Schieber in Nürnberg! I thought he was still at Stuttgart. Good to see he's gotten rid of the bleack blond hair, though. It looked green.

I haven't watched them this season, only saw them when they played against Schalke in the Pokal last season, so I don't know much of what's going on there.

The Bundesliga is totally insane this year. All the alleged "top" teams are made of fail, and the underdogs win tons of points. Of course, there are still lots of games left to play, and we all know what happened to Hoffenheim after they won the autumn championship in their first Bundesliga season. I think that after the winter break, the after-effects from the World Cup will have faded and the "big" teams can attack properly again.

You watching the Bayern-Hannover game this weekend? :D

If they SHOW the Bayern-Hannover game you BET I'll be watching! I hope Florian has good hands this weekend, especially since Mario Gomez seems to have found his scoring boots! XD
