YAY Villarreal! Transferring to big clubs in La Liga or the EPL seems to be the fashion these days, so I'm really relieved that Joan and Marcos are still at Villarreal. *clings to them*

Kicker magazine published a news blurb yesterday about Marchena's transfer and wrote that Godín signed for Atlético. I guess that's it, I can stop being in denial now. (Funnily enough Godín's German Wikipedia site still says he's a Villarreal player.) Well, I guess I should be glad that we got a great defender (and an awesome person) to replace him.

Uhm, that's Dani Pacheco in the pic you posted - he's with the Rojita, the U-19. Germán Pacheco is Argentine. ;)

So glad Torres is staying at Liverpool. I hope next season will be better for him!

OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. You know that the pic of Javi and Fernando would kill me, didn't you? WHERE IS THE WARNING?? *THUD* OMG, they're so awesome. I had never seen that pic before, only the other one from this photoshoot, and I swear I looked really hard for pics. Thank you SO SO SO much for sharing this. Ah, I cannot get over how obvious they are. XD It's such a great thing that the photographers have finally "discovered" them. ;) And LMAO, JAVI'S SHIRT! XDDDDDD

LOL @ Zara's coach's name! I know...I get confused sometimes because I know the actual 'Gay Games' are taking place right now because I kind of follow 'El Tri Gay' (The Mexican National Gay Team) and they've just reached the quarter-finals. XDDD) So when I am reading something in Spanish I assume it's about the Gay Games but sometimes it's about Gay, the Zaragoza coach! *headdesk*

I'm waiting for the official pics of Godin in an Atleti kit before I post anything about the transfer.

Marchena is indeed awesome. I didn't use to like him but he's grown on me now. I just used to think he was a dirty player but I don't believe that's the case. Sometimes defenders can come off that way and it's just from a mistimed tackle, usually.

Ooops! I got the wrong Pacheco! Of course, you are right...the other Pacheco is Argentine and I've shown a pic of a Pacheco in the Spanish kit! *facepalm* I'll go back and change that! Thank you for the heads up!

I have the utmost respect for Fernando Torres. For awhile I didn't like him because I got sick of the 'Sernando' thing but in reality I think he is an awesome person with fantastic values compared to some other footballers. That he decided to remain loyal to Liverpool does not in the least surprise me. He is just that kind of wonderful person. :)

I'm sure Pedro Leon will do well. He's an awesome winger. Now Real Madrid will be able to compete with other teams that have awesome wingers (like Sevilla FC).

OMG, of course I'm sure you've seen Becky's photos of the INCREDIBLY GORGEOUS MEDICAL TESTS from Athletic!!! And the pic of Javi getting makeup done for the new kit photoshoot! OMG I'm dying again just thinking about it. And that pic of Javi in stocking feet! He looks SO GORGEOUS lately that it makes me wonder if he's got a new outlook since falling in love with Fernando. (Which I truly believe happened during the World Cup. XDDDDDDD)

Diego Godín isn't listed as a Villarreal player on their website anymore, so I guess you can post about the transfer. I for my part have come to terms with it now - which doesn't mean I'm not still sad about it.

I was more or less indifferent towards Marchena at first but then I learned that he speaks several languages, has a degree in tourism and loves painting and learning about Spanish history. And I was all OMG. Now I adore the Marchenator. :D

Torres is indeed that kind of person. I mean, he was at Atlético for ages, until the pressure and stress that comes with the captaincy became too much to handle. He's clearly not one of those glamour players who don't care about where they're playing. That's what I love about him. I just hope that he'll score more often next season, he always makes an effort and it would be a fair reward.

YES! It's such a great pic! The hand-clasping nearly killed me. I hope you don't mind that I added the pic to my Javi/Fernando picspam. I found some more pics after I made the post and kept editing it. XDDD

Ah yes, those pics! I still can't think of them without starting to flail mentally. Athletic really do have the best medical examination pics. Even Real Madrid can learn from them. ;)
