WORLD CUP TRAINING PICS: VARIOUS TEAMS
May. 23rd, 2010 08:05 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
These pics show various training methods and locations from many of this year's WC teams. Most of the pics would be great for icons, so please help yourself!
NOTE: There are NO pics of Cristiano Ronaldo from the Portugal team...this is because he tends to take all the attention away from the other players. And I feel that everyone has seen quite enough of him already. Also, for Argentina I have included NO pics of DiegoBelladonna Maradona. This is just a matter of personal taste.
The Germany pics have none of the Bayern Munich players because they were all in Madrid for the Champions League final. Ditto for any of the other countries that have Bayern Munich or Inter Milan players.
Similarly, five of Mexico's players are missing. They play for Chivas de Guadalajara, who have reached the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores, to be played in July.
On a positive note, Team France is training in the French Alps. These photos are gorgeous as a result.
Enjoy!

Date: 2010-05-24 01:03 am (UTC)Yes, that is Gilardino, I think! I believe I read he was called up too.
I didn't even notice Germany's laptop cases! LOL.
Tim Wiese has grown on me...I never used to like him but now I do. He has such a sweet sort of look about him. I watched an interview with him on TV and he came across as being very nice and gentle. :)
Isn't it funny? Trasch is always hiding his face! :(
The French Alps look so gorgeous it makes me want to go there some day. :P
The Netherlands photos with the kids are so cute.♥
LOL @ Roque's hair! It's true!
Mmmm...yes...Irding looks wonderful too. I'd really like to visit the Alps some day. XD
That is such an adorable vid with Messi! Thanks for posting it for me! :)
Oh my gosh, I forgot to upload my WC gear photos! I took them in a hurry without staging them too well.
Here is the Germany jacket from the front:
And the back: (I moved the camera and blurred it a little.)
And these are some of my other things: the brand-new Mexico jersey, and I think last year's Portugal shirt and warm-up jacket:

Date: 2010-05-27 03:42 am (UTC)Which reminds me, I saw this England jersey for sale the other day - I don't know if it was THE England jersey or just England-supportive - it was white with a polo-like collar and made by Umbro .... but omg it was SO SOFT!! it felt like suede :3 I just wanted to stand there and pet it with my finger LOL (but I didn't) it was THAT soft!

Date: 2010-05-29 11:39 am (UTC)I love all my 'World Cup' wear, even if some of them are old. I forgot to mention it was the back of the Portugal jacket that I photographed. I like shirts and jackets that have detail on the back as well as the front, which is what tempted me to buy the Germany and Portugal ones. XD
The England jersey sounds really nice. I think there is so much stuff out there atm and some of it is not licensed...but I don't mind if it's nice. I bought a couple of t-shirts just to sleep in...Argentina, Portugal and Spain...they were only $5 each, but they're cute. :)
I need to buy something 'England'! You just reminded me! But I don't know yet what to get. There is so much being offered, but I think I'd like something 'official'. :)
