1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Met some LJ friends!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any resolutions last year. Yes, I am going to make some this time.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes. An ex-coworker, Carrie, was due on my birthdate, Sept. 2nd, but gave birth to a little girl on Sept. 4th.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, my mother passed away from pneumonia on December 20th. :(
5. What countries did you visit?
The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A better knowledge of computers! (I intend to take a course.)
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Well, December 20th for obvious reasons.
April 23rd because we left for Europe on that day.
May 1st because we were in Rome.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Actually realizing a dream of visiting several European countries.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Having a feud with a colleague that lasted three months.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My European vacation.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Sean's.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Olivia's.
14. Where did most of your money go?
On the European vacation.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going to Europe, but also going to BMO Field to see not only Real Madrid but also River Plate of Argentina and Benfica.
16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
'El final es en donde parti' by La Renga.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
I. Happier or sadder? sadder
II. Thinner or fatter? same
III. Richer or poorer? poorer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Studying Spanish.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting time.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With immediate family only.
21. Did you fall in love in 2009?
Hahahahaha. No. Unless you mean with a footballer who doesn't know me, and this year it was Geovanny Hernandez of Junior Barranquilla, Colombia.
22. How many one-night stands?
None, unfortunately. Hahahaha.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
'No Reservations'! (Also True Blood, LOST and Bones.)
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
25. What was the best book you read?
Gosh. That's a tough one. Hmmmmm...probably 'Naive: Super'.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Leon Gieco!
27. What did you want and get?
A fabulous trip to Europe and seeing Real Madrid in Toronto!
28. What did you want and not get?
Can't think of anything.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
A really tough choice. Probably 'Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs'. I know it sounds weird, but this was the funniest movie I've seen in many years.
20. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Hahahaha. The girls at work gave me a nice party and I went to see Benfica with Olivia that night. Oh yes, and I went out with my husband for a nice lunch. How old? TOO OLD!!! Hahahahaha.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Seeing Sergio Ramos and Fernando Gago playing together with Real Madrid in Toronto, but alas, they did not make the trip.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
More streamlined clothing, hopefully with a European touch. Blazers rather than cardigans.
33. What kept you sane?
Sean.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Geovanny Hernandez, but there were others too.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Frigging government bailouts!
36. Who did you miss?
Both my parents, now.

That's terrible! I can't choose just one! Lhun, Bill, Stern_Suedens, Carlos, Alastair...

You must realize your dreams. Time is fleeting. Enjoy every second you have, or make it useful.
