COLOMBIAN WOMEN RATE THEIR FOOTBALLERS
Feb. 12th, 2012 01:21 pmFurther to my piece back in the summer, when the Colombian women rated the U-20 National Teams for attractiveness, it seems they have done it again! This time they rated the most attractive players in their own league.
And they came up with these 8. Not the usual 'top ten', but 8 players whom the women consider the most attractive in the Liga Postobon A. There are some interesting details to come out of this.
Who is No. 1?
Well, according to the women of Colombia, it is:
#1 Omar Perez of Independiente Santa Fe

Okay, so what I find surprising is that out of the 8 players, 3 of them are Uruguayan! Also, 4 of them are over 35, and, in fact, all but one are over 24. But what I find most interesting is that 4 of them have ties to Cali. One was born there (Gio Hernandez) and the others all played for the Deporcali team at one time or presently.
And I wouldn't necessarily agree with these choices. They are also all from the 'big' teams in Colombia. It's as if nobody bothered to check out the smaller clubs. But rating appearances is always so subjective.
