COPA SERIES: COPA DEL REY 2012

In this series of 3 picspams, I am going to post my favourite pics so far from the Copa de Rey in Spain, the Coppa Italia (or TIM Cup) from yesterday, as well as pics from last night's spectacular Copa Libertadores matches.

First, I've been saving my favourite photos from the entire 2012 Copa del Rey. Yesterday, the two finalists were decided when Barcelona beat Valencia. On Tuesday Athletic Bilbao neatly disposed of minnows Mirandes.

COPA SERIES: COPPA ITALIA OR TIM CUP: FROM YESTERDAY: THE MIGHTY JUVENTUS

So Juventus recently added Martin Caceres to its squad from Sevilla FC. I'll bet they are glad they did, because yesterday he scored the 2 goals that put AC Milan out of the Cup, and ensured themselves a place in the final against either Siena or Napoli. (And who would bet against Napoli?)

Talk about burning up the pitch.

COPA SERIES: THE COPA LIBERTADORES: FROM YESTERDAY

There were 3 matches yesterday, two of which were incredibly entertaining because MY TEAMS WON. And not just won, but won away from home! Congrats to Nacional of Uruguay and to Cruz Azul of Mexico. There was some sadness too, because my Colombian team, Junior, lost away to Union Espanola of Chile. Junior had clearly gone for the scoreless draw but conceded 2 goals in less than a minute during the second half and weren't able to equalize. :(
