Last night I fasted from 9 PM until this morning at 10 AM, because I had to undergo an Xray test called an upper GI series. I've been having trouble swallowing food for the past few months, as well as horrible acid reflux and felt I needed the test done in order to make sure everything is OK. Unfortunately, our office cleaner, a lovely man that we'd known for 22 years, passed away from stomach cancer last October after a couple of years of living with the disease, and his initial symptoms were the same as mine. So I just wanted to make sure. Also, my uncle passed away from pancreatic cancer at a fairly young age, and as I am approaching that age now, I want to make sure I get myself checked out. I haven't had a complete physical exam for 7 or 8 years, despite working for a doctor. Go figure. That's how it works. :(

Anyway, I didn't feel like going to work afterwards. First of all, they made me sit around and wait for 45 minutes before they even took me in to do the test, and second, they made me drink barium and then alka selzer, which were both horrible and put my stomach right off for the day. Luckily the radiologist who did the test was a super-hot darkish Latino type, which made me feel a lot better. Talk about some fantastic eye candy. He made drinking the awful stuff much more bearable. :P

When we came out we went to Tim Horton's for some breakfast and I found it a bit hard to digest, so I called work and told them I couldn't make it. Then Ed and I went and did some Christmas shopping, which was great. The stores weren't busy and I was able to finish almost all of what I wanted to do. :)

So I don't know...maybe I'll do a picspam or two now. I feel like doing something. :)

Oh, and Dr. Hotstuff said I'd get my results in about 5 days, so I have to wait until then to find out if I'm okay. :/

So Spurs are doing GREAT in the EPL but not so hot in the Europa League. They sit in third place behind Manchester City and Manchester United in the English Premier League, above Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool! But when it comes to the Europa League, they lost last night to PAOK of Greece, and are third in their group with only 7 points. PAOK are the leaders with 11 points, followed by Rubin Kazan of Russia with 10, then Spurs. Now they have to wait for the head-to-head match between PAOK and Rubin, and if there is a tie, then Spurs are OUT of it. :(

Oh, and I decided after giving up Setanta Sports channel on TV and then missing every single Spurs match since the start of the season because they are not being shown on one of our free TV stations, to order Spurs TV Online, which costs much less than subscribing to the Pay TV channel. :) Call it my Christmas present to myself that I'm making Ed pay for. :)

Ok, so here are pics from Spurs' last two matches: the EPL one vs West Brom, and the Europa one vs PAOK.

*sigh* ♥ :)

Nacional is now on top of the table after beating Wanderers on the weekend. Marcelo Gallardo is doing a GREAT job as coach. I am soooo PROUD of my bb!!! ♥

His choice to bring Alexander Medina in seems inspired...because 'Cacique', as he is known, has been doing fantastically well in scoring goals for them.

I really want a necklace like Marcelo's (the top one...XD), which he seems to wear all the time. I think it suits him and I love it!♥
