EPL PICSPAM: CATCHING UP
Sep. 22nd, 2011 06:52 amSince I collected some very nice pics from last weekend's action, I thought I'd do a picspam. I know I've mentioned before which teams are my favourites, but I like this league so much that there are really no teams that I dislike a lot. I never liked Everton, but I do like some of their players. And when Mikel Arteta transferred to Arsenal this summer I was very happy. He sure suits red a lot better than he suited blue! Right, and this is partly because Liverpool is also one of my favourites. But this past weekend they played against Tottenham Hotspur, my favourite English team. And it was hard. Very difficult to watch, especially considering what happened to Liverpool. I know it wasn't Tottenham's fault. Nobody on that team did anything wrong. You can blame the referee for some bad decisions and for too easily handing out the cards. And I feel very bad for Liverpool because I love them. Okay. Then there is Wigan, another EPL team I love. It may seem strange to love Wigan, but I love them for two reasons: their style of play (pretty football) and the fact they are such an underdog, but such a resilient one. Always seemingly hovering near the bottom of the table, they always manage to stay up year after year. And Wigan always seems to produce the players that bigger teams like to snatch up: most recently Charles N'Zogbia and in the past, Wilson Palacios and Antonio Valencia, to name a couple. Wigan also has one of my favourite Colombians, Hugo Rodallega. And here is a link to one of my favourite blogs, 'Jesus Was A Wiganer'. XD

Here are Franco Di Santo and Hugo Rodallega celebrating. Hugo got injured shortly after this, but he is not hurt as bad as was first thought.
