So I remember this question coming up awhile ago...Do you love a team for the team (or club) itself or for a particular player or players on that team? For instance, are you a lifelong Benfica fan, say, who has a membership card? Or do you follow a certain team because your favourite player (or players) play for it, in which case you'd follow them to their new team when they go there? Like say you love Falcao who was with River Plate in Argentina so you loved River and now you love FC Porto because he has transferred there? Or is it not so simple: for instance; I can say that as a North American I am interested in watching the best football we have to offer on this continent, and that would be the Mexican game. Sure, we are trying to get the MLS going in Canada and the USA and I hope it's succeeding. Players like David Beckham are doing our league a huge favour by coming over here to play. But I feel the MLS cannot compete yet with the Mexicans for style and watchability. Now, my problem: I cannot watch enough of the Mexican games. Our TV here only shows a game every once in awhile. Sometimes we get lucky and they show a whole tournament, like the Interliga (which determines the Mexican teams that get to play in the Copa Libertadores). But mostly I would have to catch a stream in order to watch a game. So I am still trying to sort out which teams I like the best. Right now Cruz Azul, Chivas, Pumas and Pachuca are my favourites. Since players seem to come and go more often in the Mexican league than in other leagues, it's hard to like a team only for their players. But there are certain players I do like more than others. Okay...so why am I writing about this?

Well, it's because I'm interested in doing these posts about the Mexican Primera as it's called, but there are so many games per weekend and so many photos that it's a bit daunting to post everything. Therefore, I'd like to post only the teams I like best (and also photos from some of the other games involving players I care about). But I'll post all the results no matter if I post pics from those matches or not.
