SALVADOR CABANAS IS SHOT IN MEXICO CITY
Jan. 25th, 2010 06:26 pmThis is horrible. I was just getting ready to do a Mexican league post on this weekend's games when I saw the news. Here are a couple of links to good sites that have the news:

It seems he was shot in the head at a bar (he was with his wife), has undergone seven hours of surgery, is in serious but stable condition, but still has the bullet lodged in his head. I am sure everyone knows Salvador. He is a prolific goalscorer for his club team, Mexican side America, as well as a striker on the Paraguayan National Team. I just hope that he will be okay. What a shock for everyone who knows him in the football world. My heart and my prayers go out to his family. :(
