Putumayo World Music, established in 1993, is a record label specializing in compilation CDs of world music. The name "Putumayo" comes from the river that flows along the border between Peru and Colombia in South America.

Each CD has a unique cover designed by the artist Nicola Heindl.

I bought one of their food-themed discographies called "Music From the Wine Lands". It's fantastic, so I ordered two more: "Music From the Coffee Lands" and "Music From the Chocolate Lands".

Yeah, the artist is really great! This is such a nice concept and a good way to hear music from all over! There is one German song I like: "Liebe" by 2raumwohnung. Do you know it?

The concept is great!
The music in the vids is not my music but not that bad to hear.
I don't know the german song. I'm not in german music.

I really must go over with you sometime your taste in music! It seems very good, and you like the louder stuff, which I also like! Sometime you can give me a list and I will give you mine! I have seen these artists live on stage. They were all favourites back in the day and I still love them all!

I am very interested in hearing all the world music, well, except Brasilian and maybe some more. Maybe I am missing something there but I can't bring myself to listen to it, especially today when I am a nervous nellie waiting for the Copa Lib!

OMG I've seen Santana on stage too! I KNEW I forgot some!
Oh YES! Cream is great, Aerosmith, Bob Marley, Nirvana, Chicago, and OMG how could I forget Pink Floyd! I like all the others too, but the ones above I have their CDs!

My tastes change too, with the times. So many!

I love Amy Winehouse! Hans Zimmer! The others I must check.

I used to only love rock music, fast and loud. But more recently I can appreciate beautiful tunes and words that are sometimes slow.

The only music I can say I HATE is country & western. And yet when I bought the True Blood soundtrack CD, there is some and it is GOOD! But they put no crap on that CD. It is great.

I am fascinating? No, I'm not, YOU are!!!

I learn a lot about music from my daughter, she is workimg with a 'music freak girl' and some new and unknown music is really good!

I have only seen Idlewild on stage! Front row! It was great!!!

One girl I work with likes rap and I cannot understand it. Another girl likes the "Bollywood" music, which I cannot listen to for too long. The third one is in mourning over Michael Jackson and that is all she is listening to right now. My daughter Olivia was good for me because she has introduced me to some good artists! Do you know 'Collective Soul'? She gave me a GREAT CD of theirs!
