I'm incapable of saying anything, so I'll just let the pictures tell the story.

Was gutted when I heard the news, still am, actually. I'm just so thankful I didn't see it happen live.
I hope and pray he recovers well and that he can play again.

OMG. I was watching the game with Ed and you could see from the players' faces and then the ref's that something horrible had happened. Setanta said they were not going to show replays because they were too upsetting. Later I saw the photos online and only then could understand the full extent of the horror the Arsenal players must have felt. And to continue playing the game must have been so extremely difficult. I had a lump in my throat all day. I think the break looks fairly clean, according to the pics I saw, so the surgeons should be able to put him back together without any trouble. Because of that, he should heal OK, but I'm only guessing and don't really know, of course. I guess we'll have to all wait until an official announcement is made on his recovery expectations and that may take awhile.

I'm sorry, I had my comments all ready for various fics and entries on my flist, including yours of course, and then was so bummed out by what happened to Eduardo that I couldn't face spending time on the comp yesterday. :(

I thought Taylor would practically tear off his foot, last time I was so shocked was when John Terry got injured in Carling cup final year ago :((

Oh yeah, John Terry's injuries have been horrible. I remember seeing the one where he was knocked out and the last one where his toes were broken. He tried to walk on them too, and continue playing before he collapsed. Terry is very brave, as most of the players are.♥

He's tough indeed, but that's what every captain supposed to be, I remember that fateful game when Petr Chech got a head trauma (poor guy, that was absolutely terrible), and then Cudicini got injured soon as well, chelsea ran out of golkeepers and Terry had to put on the gloves and manage to struggle till the final whistle. I was full of admiration for him, and still am, although lost interest in blues after Jose left (I loved this man, he was Something!).
