Date: 2009-02-22 07:24 pm (UTC)When I was in Portugal in 2007 I made friends with a lady taxi driver who would take my sister and I everywhere. She was great. She was a Sporting fan but I've always liked Benfica and wanted to see the eagle! But when I asked her to get us tickets to a game she was pissed off! But she went and got them, bless her! She loved us! LOL.
Then the bartender at the hotel also was a Benfica fan. The night we went to the game they showed his picture on the big screen! He was so proud and bragging the next day! Ahahahahahaha!
He told us that Porto was worse than Sporting as far as the rivalry went!
