I am uncomfortable being disorganized and having to deal with problems before I think I'm ready! My idea of being "ready" is getting all my shit in an ideal "order", then positioning myself behind a desk where I feel ready to deal with anything that comes my way. I'm the type that will never go to answer the doorbell until I have looked in the mirror to see if I look "right". Even to pay the pizza boy. *sigh*
At least Sean is older. My husband asked me the other day how we are to handle him when we're much older and I had to remind him that as we get older Sean also will do the same! When he is 18 he will receive money from the government whether or not he has a job that would enable him to survive on his own, and that's only 3+ years from now. Also, I've spoken with my daughter (his mother) about him going to live with her and she's very open to the idea. We'd have to go through the process of having custody switched back to her though.
My husband is fine in lots of ways but the cognitive stuff is worrying. Nobody knows if it's possible for him to come back from that or if the damage is permanent. For a couple of months after the event one of his arms remained numb. (What happened to him is akin to having a stroke.) But eventually the numbness went away. I'm hoping that the cognitive disability will too, but don't know if it's possible.
I find the more room we have the more junk we acquire! Sometimes I wish we could go back to our previous (smaller) house and be forced to get rid of 2/3rds of what we accumulated here!
