According to this article, Liverpool, Spurs and Birmingham all want Teo!

Who is Teo you ask?

A Colombian striker who used to play for Junior Barranquilla, my favourite Colombian club. Junior tu papa!

He's awesome and he is currently playing for Trabzonspor, a Turkish team. They recently won the Turkish Cup preseason tournament against top team Bursaspor, where Teo scored a hat trick. :)

Printout of article:

Birmingham City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are all in the mix to sign Colombian striker Teofilo Gutierrez before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow.

While a lot of people won’t have heard of Gutierrez, Liverpool fans should be aware of him. He’s the man who gave Trabzonspor an early lead in their Europa League qualifier against your lads last week.

Teofilo Gutierrez is twenty five years old and currently plays for Trabzonspor in Turkey. He previously played for Barranquilla FC in the Colombian second division before moving to Junior Barranquilla.

His goal scoring record, albeit in the Colombian league, is excellent. He scored sixteen goals in twenty eight games for Barranquilla FC and forty two in seventy nine for Junior Barranquilla. Since moving to Trabzonspor in January 2010 he’s scored six goals in thirteen games.

Internationally he made his debut for Colombia in August 2009 versus El Salvador. Gutierrez was called up to the national side ahead of Wigan’s Hugo Rodallega and FC Porto’s Falcao. He scored on his debut and then again in his second game, a 2-0 victory over Ecuador in their World Cup 2010 qualification campaign.

For me he would be best off joining Liverpool, though I doubt Roy Hodgson would want to sign a player who’d be ineligible for their Europa League squad. Gutierrez would get a game at Liverpool though, whereas he’s much fiercer competition for a place at Tottenham with Defoe, Crouch, Keane and Pavlyuchenko already there.

And while Birmingham will always want to strengthen they do have a good number of strikers in their squad already. Zigic, Derbyshire, Jerome and McFadden are there as well as Kevin Phillips and Gary O’Connor. Oh, and let us not forget Marcus Bent.

Gutierrez would be best going to Liverpool, and he’d be a decent player for them.

Okay, I know this is only a rumour, but I've been hoping that Teo would do great and move to a team where I can actually watch him again! :)
