Someone once told me that you must be careful what you post on LJ because who knows who is reading it? Yet I am sure that almost nobody really thinks that anyone important actually reads these journals.
WRONG!Yesterday I was contacted by e-mail by a producer from BBC Radio who has been reading my Colombian comm
4colombiafooty. Because of that he wants me to "appear" on his radio show on the World Cup tonight. We will be discussing the question of whether FIFA should change the qualification rules to allow more teams from South America (or all the Americas) into the World Cup given the success of the South American teams this time.
This morning he telephoned me and after a brief discussion, we agreed that I will be speaking on the show tonight at 7:30 PM. If anyone in the UK is interested in listening, it's on BBC Radio at 7:30 PM. The show is called "BBC World Cup Have Your Say".
I hope I'm not going to be nervous and sound like an absolute plonker! I was fine and cheery on the phone with the radio host this morning, but when the phone call comes in to be on live radio I hope I don't freak out and make an ass of myself!
Wish me well! LOL.
The downside of this is that I'll be on the radio when the Chile-Spain match is on! I asked the guy how long the radio show will be, because I don't want to miss much of this match!
