jenni_blogThis is the first in a series of posts I've been meaning to do for some time. I have thousands of photos in my Pictures File and it's becoming quite cumbersome. I want to upload pics of my favourite footballers into LJ in some sort of organized manner so I will know where to find them if I need them at any time. Please don't feel you must pay attention to these posts at all, since it could become quite tiresome, I'm sure. I'm going to start with letter 'A' and my intention is to continue until I've gone through 'Z'. But since I never seem to finish anything I start, I may never get to 'Z'. LOL. Anyway, I'm going to post a list of the players included before I make a cut, so if anyone wants to have a look if their favourite player is on that list, then please go ahead.
The first list is of players whose first names start with 'A'. It's FIRST names because that's how I labelled the pics when I uploaded them. That's because I rarely think something through first before I do it. LOL.

1. ALEXIS SANCHEZ (Chile - River Plate)
I like Alexis because he plays for one of my top favourite national teams - Chile. He played on the U20 team that came third in the recent U20 World Cup tournament in Canada. He also plays for one of my top favourite Argentine teams, Club Atletico River Plate. He's young, joyful and impossibly cute.
2. ALBERT CELADES (Spain - Real Zaragoza)
Albert Celades plays for one of my favourite teams in Spain, Zaragoza. He looks really young, but is, in fact, 32 years old. He played mostly with Barcelona in the past, and also played for Real Madrid and for the Spanish National Team. I think he's a good, solid, non-flashy midfield player.
3. ALVARO ARBELOA (Spain - Liverpool FC)
OMG. Is this guy sexy, or what? Spanish and plays for one of my favourite English teams. He is irresistable.
4. ANGEL LAFITA (Spain - Deportivo La Coruna - on loan from Real Zaragoza)
I was attracted to Angel Lafita because of his darkly handsome Latin looks. But he's also shown flashes of goal-scoring brilliance at both Zaragoza and Deportivo, where he's currently playing.
5. ARIEL ORTEGA (Argentina - River Plate)
Ariel is a veteran who has played in both Spain and Italy as well as his own country, Argentina. He is 34 years old but is still a formidable, skilled player, and a real star and icon for River Plate.
6. ARITZ ADURIZ (Basque - Athletic Bilbao)
The Basques have always fascinated me. And Athletic Bilbao is like this fairy-tale team in my imagination. I love watching them because it never seems real that a team like that - all one culture and nationality - would exist in this modern age. And they have never been relegated? It's so out of the past. And the first time I saw Aritz Aduriz I fell in love and wanted to have his babies. Freckled but dark, supple and sublime, Aritz made me fall head over heels in love with him. And his impossible name - it's not of this world. *sigh*
7. ALVARO GONZALEZ (Uruguay - Boca Jrs)
I like Alvaro a lot because he is a good player, plays for Boca, one of my favourite teams, as well as for Uruguay, one of my favourite national teams. He's soft-spoken and seems gentle, and he reminds me of Fernando Gago in his manner. He plays on the right wing, usually.
8. ARTURO VIDAL (Chile - Bayer Leverkusen)
Sexy Arturo comes from Chile and plays for my favourite German team, Bayer Leverkusen. I love his panache, his hard-hitting playing style. And his confidence. He surely knows how hot he is.
