A BLACK DAY FOR RIVER PLATE

A tragedy unfolds at the Monumental...relegation...the first time...110 years in the first division and now...

I just feel numb...I've never seen a whole team of players crying like this before...this just cannot have happened. :(

*HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE HUGS*

Looking at the pics, this is really sad and depressing. :( I hope they'll bounce back soon!

Thank you. It's a sad day, a black day for football.

I would love to see the team back up next time there is a promotion/relegation (the system is so crazy, I think it is every 3 seasons). I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. :/

Every summer the last two teams in the table (counting the last THREE years) are relegated. The third and fourth last team have to play relagation vs the tird and fourth team from the second league! SIMPLE!
River has the chance to come back next summer. They have to play good!

AFA made this THREE-years system to protect the bigger clubs because usual these teams are not bad over three years. This time it didn't work and it's really sad River has to be the one!

btw. NOT all Vélez fans are happy! And I would dance the whole year if Bocacas ot Rattwats would go down!

I always forget the exact terms of the relegation/promotion system. As well, I thought they were going to change it, but I could be thinking of somewhere else and not in Argentina.

If River could come back next summer that would be wonderful. I really do think that if one of the Big Five goes down, then ALL teams suffer. The River boys can do it if they really want it!

Of course not ALL fans would be happy about something like this. I'm sure there are some who see that it is not a nice thing to have one of the most interesting clubs be relegated only to have some mediocre team come up and play against their own team, to almost NO interest at all! Sure, each team has its own fans, but not that many teams have followers WORLDWIDE, who buy shirts and travel to games from far away, or arrange for friendlies with the BIG teams in their cities, and all kinds of other stuff that is going to impact on this whole situation.

LOL...I am sure you wouldn't dance if it would hurt your own club in some way. :)

You can always ask me *smiles*

River has to play good and they will be back next summer!

NO words!!! I guess you know the reason....
