HOLY SHIT

Who would have thought that Chile would be topping Group H? And playing the best match of the World Cup so far. It's been such a strange World Cup. Very unpredictable. I would say, though, that after making the statement a few days ago to "watch out for Switzerland", Spain didn't ! All that passing...there was something so languid about it. They looked like they really lacked the killer instinct until it was too late. Not to take anything away from Switzerland, though. They played a superb game tactically and took advantage of the opportunity to score when it was presented to them. Damn...I knew this group would be interesting, though. Vamos, Chile! You hot little South Americans! YEAAAHHHH!!

I'm so happy for Chile! :D

But very disappointed with Spain. It looked as if they were just giving 50% of what they're actually capable of. I don't want to belittle Switzerland's victory, they did a damned fine job and were especially fantastic in the back (then again, that's no surprise considering the identity of their coach), but I expected Spain to make more of an effort, just like they did at the Euro. They're full of excellent, highly skilled players, and they should bloody well SHOW IT.

Comments are gone! Great!

I wanted to say the fucking Spain result....

It was a shocking result...but that's what happens when you play lazy and complacent.

And with too many Barca players.

They played like arrogant arseholes! For sure the wrong players were on the pitch!
Wit Nando and Navas they played much more dangerous!

On fourfourtwo.com Navas got the HIGHEST player rating! The coach is stupid not to start him! He drives defenders crazy even if he doesn't score! I liked Aragones a LOT better as coach for Spain! He knew every player so well and always played the right ones! And it was him who straightened out Sergio Ramos!!!

Nando made a difference as well. My heart breaks that he is not full-strength, but did you hear how the people cheered when they saw him? Now that David Villa has gone to Barca he has turned just as arrogant as they are!!!!

I am SO pissed about that performance yesterday! :(((((((((((((((

They should better play another way next time with such a shit performance they can easily be out :(

I think that, again...I have not very popular opinion but Spain neglected the opponent. They woke up after losing goal but then for change had no luck at all. They tried like maniacs for nothing.

Congrats to Chile.

YES!!! Spain played like they thought they would win no matter what and were too lazy, IMO. It seems like they are always the same...playing the Barca way. It is TOO predictable and a smart coach will be able to foil them.

Yes! It was a case of too little, too late, for Spain!

Chile did very well...URUGUAY even better!!! :)

Well... I need to admit I was surprised by my own national team. Never think that Chile could play so well in the debut game.

So I'm happy now!

Chile was GREAT. I really like the team a lot.
I hope they can keep winning! :)
