Beautiful, perfect, flawless, etc.
That Rosario Central bombo is gorgeous!
lol at your Pastore icon hehe :)

Damn that fantastic Nigerian goalkeeper! I really wanted Messi to score SO BAD. I do think, however, that Messi was not as COOL as he is with Barcelona. He rushed some of his shots, mind you the Nigerian defenders were all over him always, but there was one shot he took when the GK had gone down, and rather than chipping him, which I thought Lionel would do since it's his 'patented move' and all, he shot low and straight at the guy. That miss bothered me the most. I hope he (and the other strikers) will settle down for the remaining games. I'm sure they will. XD

LOL...picked up some more icons! XD

Honestly, Nigeria surprised me better there than Argentina could make me satisfied. *lol* Because if player like Kalu Uche who spent most of his career in Poland makes threat to your goal then you start to think more than enjoy that victory.
But woohoo yay! on dude in Velez jersey. :D

[identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Nigeria was pretty damn good! Argentina was a bit lucky on a couple occasions when Walter Samuel lost the ball right in the box yet Nigeria couldn't capitalize. LOL @ Kalu Uche. I know he plays for one of the 'lesser' teams in Spain's La Liga (can't remember which one offhand) and he seldom scores! But that doesn't necessarily mean anything...I've just watched Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose both score for Germany, yet they cannot seem to score for their club teams! (Not that I mind...it was wonderful to see those goals for Germany!)

LMAO @ guy in Velez jersey! I died laughing when I found that one! :)

Sorry, I think Argentina was the shitty team on the pitch! Nigeria was much better and always when Messi was on the ball I was laughing my arse off because I knew there would be NO goal for him!

Best: Vélez shirt!!!

[identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Argentina was lucky for sure, because there was no way Messi was going to score when he was rushing his shots like that. For Barca he shows much more finesse with the chip shots and stuff and he seems more comfortable when playing there. Also the other Argie strikers were overwhelmed, IMO, by the Nigeria defense, which was always all over them. And the Nigeria goalkeeper was the best I've seen so far at the WC! No wait...Fernando Muslera was just as good, but the Nigeria GK stopped more shots!

The guy in the Velez shirt killed me! I died laughing. LMAO.

[identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I hope Messi will play again in this way in the next match and I really hope they will finally lose!

[identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I want Argentina to win (but not all because I don't want to see Belladonna running naked) but I am worried for them because I think they will not do well scoring if the teams they come up against have big defensive players.

[identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
That's somehow funny what you want *smiles*
They should win but not all. Okay it's your opinion.

[identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I just realized what I had said didn't make sense! LOL.
Okay, what I meant was they can win a few games so they don't look like complete idiots, but they should NOT get anywhere winning the WC! I don't want them to get beyond the Round of 16, or at worst, the quarter-finals. Because there are OTHER teams I want to be there!

[identity profile] aglaiya.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Okay! I understand. *smiles*

wonderful picspam =]

also nigeria's GK is a hero.

[identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Nigeria's GK was the BEST keeper!!! That guy is sure to be bought up by some big European team!

Thank you!

[identity profile] firestarter-007.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
so far Nigeria and SA have the best goalkeepers oh and spain =]

[identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
And Uruguay! Fernando Muslera was outstanding stopping France's shots! (Although there weren't that many.) :)

There have been some amazing goalkeepers, though.

[identity profile] firestarter-007.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
omg YES i only saw half of the france vs uruguay match but i do recall the last minutes and he did a great job.

There have been some amazing goalkeepers, though.

Howard was great in the england vs USA match :')

[identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! Howard is really good too...but the poor guy has bruised ribs yet he is going to continue. And I think Capello is going to use Robert Green again. And also Sergio Romero for Argentina is a good keeper. He wasn't tested that much, though.

[identity profile] firestarter-007.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
i saw that this morning =[ i hope he's better for our next match.
yeah i feel so bad for Green! poor guy.. one mistake and people want to crucify him *facepalm* i really hope Capello backs him up. my wish is for Romero to never get tested LOL :D

[identity profile] txorakeriak.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Beautiful pictures! And that was a tough match for Argentina for sure! I almost felt sorry for the Nigerian goalkeeper when Heinze scored. He did such a fantastic job throughout the match, and then, ironically, the player who's probably criticised the most in the Argentina squad had to manage to get past him.

[identity profile] just-jenni.livejournal.com 2010-06-24 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't it funny how Maradona was criticized for choosing certain players (Heinze and Palermo come to mind) and yet these guys have made him look like a genius! (And I am NO Maradona fan.) Either he has been very lucky or he really DOES know what he's doing!
