Putumayo World Music, established in 1993, is a record label specializing in compilation CDs of world music. The name "Putumayo" comes from the river that flows along the border between Peru and Colombia in South America.

Each CD has a unique cover designed by the artist Nicola Heindl.

I bought one of their food-themed discographies called "Music From the Wine Lands". It's fantastic, so I ordered two more: "Music From the Coffee Lands" and "Music From the Chocolate Lands".

I LOVE this band! OMG, I could listen to 'el final es en donde parti' OVER and OVER again!!!
Now I am listening to other songs of theirs! I must try to get a CD!
