THE TWO FREDDIES OF SEATTLE SOUNDERS

Just gotta support my boy Fredy Montero!

So the expansion team Seattle Sounders won again, with Fredy Montero scoring his third goal in two games. And the Sounders' other 'Freddie', Mr. Ljungberg, played his first game for them yesterday, going for 30 minutes! Here's Freddie:

This is Fredy Montero:

Holy shit!

Holy shit what?
At Fredy because he's a goalscoring wonder, or because Freddie Ljungberg is at Seattle? Ljungberg is actually their designated player. All MLS teams can have just one designated player that they can bring in from Europe. Stupid rule! There should be more!

Only one player from Europe can play in a US team?

No team in Europe wanted Ljungberg and he finalally ended in US land.

I'm so very sorry for Fredy Montero... because I cannot watch him playing for a 'real' football team.

Yeah, they have that stupid rule. It has to do with the salaries, I think. MLS teams are not as rich.
Poor Ljungberg. But this seems to be the fate of older players. They end up in the MLS. Juan Pablo Angel went to New York from Aston Villa. Toronto got Laurent Robert (I think that's his name). There are old guys all over. Gallardo was in the US and he now is back at River.
Some young guys like Fredy go from Colombia to the MLS. Juan Toja did it too, and now he has gone to Europe, although with Steaua Bucaresti in Romania. Maybe next year Fredy will go to Europe. That's what everyone in Seattle seems to think.

Hahahaaaaa US football is only good for old men!

I hope Fredy will come to Europe, but please not to an eastern Europe club. All the good young boys are lost... Who can watch them? It sounds arrogant... but nobody is interested in Romanian league ot in others from the east!

Hahahaaaaaaa I have asked my cable firm about football package *lol* only Bundesliga, ESPN classic and ESPN America and some other stupid sport. I don't know whar ESPN is showing (I guess Baseball aso) and the arrogant fucker in the shop couldn't answer my question. I asked about South American football and he answered something about 'copacabana football' what stupid fucker!
I hate living in a football free desert!

No, you're right. It is true that a good or great player needs to get into one of the leagues that everybody watches...like La Liga or EPL.

I feel so bad that you are not able to watch good futbol on TV there!
