Schalke04 launches an incredible comeback over Mainz in the last half-hour of the game.

One curious thing that I noticed when I was looking for pics was how often some of Schalke's players were misnamed. It seems that Benni Hoewedes and Julian Draxler were being confused, as well as Raul and Christian Fuchs, Jan Moravek and Jose Jurado, and Jan Huntelaar being mislabelled as Kyriakos Papadopoulos and vice-versa.































Poor Christian Fuchs. He got absolutely slaughtered during the match. The fans booed him all game long.

LOL @ Marco Reus! That was one time the man was the star of the show and NOT the hair! :)

Oh yes, I saw the Hannover-Hertha game. From the minute Pander came on he was very lively and had a good game. His passes were on target, and that was a beautiful goal from a free kick. But the referee called it offside. On replay it wasn't...there were a couple of offsides called that the commentators didn't agree with at all. That was terribly harsh, I thought, because Pander's goal was stunning and he had worked so hard since the moment he was subbed on. So disappointing for him. I hadn't realized that in the 10 years he spent with Schalke he had been injured so much! But he looked in fantastic shape and form yesterday! :)

Yes! Benni and Drazler do have an uncanny resemblance! (LOL...before I realized that was a pic of Raul and Julian, I labelled it 'cutie'...I always do that if I can't see who the player is). XD

Some of the labelling by the photographers is just terrible...always mixing up players! Fuchs and Raul might have similarly styled hair, but that's about all!

Omigosh, Benni and his ballet positions are tooooooo funnnnnneeeeeee!!!!!!!! LMAO.

Jurado looks a little bit older to me than last season. And I think his hair is longer...maybe that's why. :/

Oh you can't believe how happy it makes me to hear that Pander is doing so well there! :D Poor guy has had a very sad career from the injuries. He was even in the national team at one point, but then the injury happened (cruciate ligament tear @ age 22 .. he never really recovered; he'll be 28 next week)

Welcome back Hitz in the Bundesliga! I am SO happy for him, that he found a club (even if it is Wolfsburg ...)


I am not a Schalke fan but it made me so happy that Raul is staying - his presence upgrates the whole Bundesliga.
